A display device includes a display area that includes sub-pixels arranged in a matrix having rows and columns, pixels formed of the combination of two sub-pixels, from which light of different wavelength regions is emitted, image signal lines arranged by two columns, scanning signal lines arranged by one in each row, pixel transistors disposed in the respective sub-pixels in which one image signal line is connected to a source of each pixel transistor, and the one scanning signal line is connected to a gate of the pixel transistor, light emitting elements that each emit light on the basis of a potential of a drain of the pixel transistor, and a drive circuit that applies a conduction potential for rendering the pixel transistors conductive to two scanning signal lines corresponding to two adjacent rows at the same time.

Display device

An organic electroluminescence display device is provided in which circuit components can be installed at a high density and which can reduce power consumption. The organic electroluminescence display device of the present invention comprises a display part including a first display area including a plurality of first pixels and a second display area including a plurality of second pixels, and a switch unit formed from a plurality of transistors and switching between display in the first display area and display in the second display area. The switch unit does not drive the plurality of second pixels during a frame time period for driving the plurality of first pixels in the display part and drives the plurality of second pixels during a vertical retrace time period in which the plurality of first pixels are not driven in the display part.

OLED display panel

The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device which can be used in a miniaturized portable equipment, wherein the liquid crystal display device integrally incorporates a drive circuit therein so that a circuit scale can be miniaturized. A liquid crystal drive circuit includes a first drive circuit and a second drive circuit which is mounted on one side of the liquid crystal display panel. One output of the first drive circuit is connected to a plurality of signal lines and the second drive circuit supplies signals to the first drive circuit. The liquid crystal display panel includes holding capacitive elements and signals are supplied to the holding capacitive elements from the second drive circuit. The second drive circuit includes a booster circuit for supplying signals to the first drive circuit and the holding capacitive elements.

Liquid crystal display device having drive circuit

A display device used in a miniaturized portable equipment is capable of driving two display panels, consisting of main and sub-display panels. The display device includes a main display panel, a sub-display panel and a drive circuit. The drive circuit can simultaneously drive the main display panel and the sub-display panel. Output terminals are provided to the main display panel, and signals are transmitted to the sub-display panel from the output terminals. Further, the drive circuit includes a power source circuit which is capable of outputting proper common voltages to the main display panel and the sub-display panel.

Liquid crystal display device

A TFT display device realizing a high degree of fineness by integrally forming a TFT display panel and a drive circuit therefor by using a poly-Si film. The display device comprises TFT transistors of which the gates are connected to the scanning lines and of which the drains are connected to the signal lines that are so formed as to intersect one another substantially at right angles, a TFT display panel having pixel electrodes provided at sources of the TFT transistors, a signal line drive circuit which is formed on the display panel and permits pixel signals that are serially input to be output in parallel, and a scanning line drive circuit which is formed on the display panel and simultaneously selects the two neighboring scanning lines while changing the combination thereof for each of the fields, wherein for the pixels of two rows that are simultaneously selected by the scanning line drive circuit, the signal written into the pixels corresponding to one row has a polarity opposite to that of the signal written into the pixels corresponding to the other row. Therefore, despite the two rows are simultaneously selected, signals of opposite polarities are fed to these rows, whereby flickering decreases and noise transmitted to the signal lines and to a common plate electrode is canceled, making it possible to accomplish stable display operation.
