A lighting control apparatus is configured to be applied to a vehicle lamp. The lighting control apparatus includes a first switching converter, a substrate on which the first switching converter is provided, and a first cover. The first switching converter includes a switching element, a coil, and a first output capacitor and is configured to generate a first drive voltage corresponding to a first light source of the vehicle lamp based on a power source voltage. The first cover is formed of a conductive material and covers at least a part of components of the first switching converter in one surface of the substrate. The substrate includes a first conduction part and a second conduction part which are in conductive contact with the first cover. The first switching converter is provided between the first conduction part and the second conduction part. The first output capacitor is provided in a vicinity of one part of the first conduction part and the second conduction part.

A light irradiation control system for a vehicle lamp includes a control unit configured to provide control signals for controlling light irradiation of the vehicle lamp based on detection signals detected by sensors. Actuator units are configured to control the light irradiation of the vehicle lamp based on the control signals. The control unit includes a body-side control unit and a lamp-side control unit. The body-side control unit is configured to perform signal processing on the detection signals and to provide the signal-processed signals to a common bus as common data. The lamp-side control unit, which is mounted in at least some of the actuator units, is connected to the common bus to provide the control signals based on the common data provided to the common bus.

The casing includes a pump chamber having a washer fluid suction port and a discharge port and inside which the impeller is accommodated, a motor housing chamber disposed above the pump chamber and inside which the motor is accommodated, a board housing chamber inside which the control circuit board is accommodated, and a connector portion extending outwardly in a cylindrical shape and inside which the plurality of terminal pieces extends. The connector portion is provided such that one of the terminal pieces is directly coupled to the motor.

An irradiating direction control apparatus includes a storing portion for storing a design reference value of a vehicle and storing output voltages of vehicle height sensors when the vehicle is in a reference attitude as measured reference values, an operating portion for operating a reference vehicle height based on the measured reference value and the design reference value and operating a pitch angle of the vehicle based on detected outputs of the vehicle height sensors and the reference vehicle height and the design reference value, and a deflection control portion for controlling to deflect an irradiating direction of a lamp based on the operated pitch angle. Even when the design reference value of the vehicle is stored to the storing portion at a later step of steps of assembling the vehicle, the reference vehicle height can be operated by the output voltages and the design reference value and initialization based on the reference vehicle height can be realized. A degree of freedom of design of a factory layout is promoted and a production efficiency is promoted.

Control apparatus of irradiating direction of vehicle lamp and initializing method thereof

An apparatus for controlling the irradiation direction of a lamp for a vehicle is provided with an actuatorR for controlling the irradiation direction of a headlampR and a controller (ECU)for controlling the actuatorR in accordance with a pitch angle of a vehicle. The controllerincludes a monitor unit for monitoring the state of a control signal line CL for sending a control signal for controlling the actuatorR and determines an abnormality of the controller, the actuator or the control signal line based on the state of the control signal line. The controller is not required to be connected to the actuator via a wire harness dedicated for the monitoring which is provided independently, so that the number of the wire harnesses can be prevented from increasing. Further, since the actuator is not required to be provided with a dedicated monitor circuit, the configuration of the actuator is prevented from being complicated.

A current sensing circuit includes; a shunt resistor, on which a motor current is flown; a reference resistor which has a resistance value that is n times the shunt resistor; and a current following circuit. The current following circuit includes: a following current control circuit, which controls the following current and generates a first reference voltage; and a capacitor which generates a second reference voltage indicating an average value of the first reference voltage. A power-window jamming preventing apparatus, includes a current sensing circuit, which senses a motor current flowing through a motor; a current limiting circuit, which increases and decreases the motor current based on a current-limitation control signal outputted from the current sensing circuit when an amount of increase of the motor current exceeds a predetermined vale; and a jamming determining circuit, which determines a jamming of a foreign matter in the window glass, and a potential difference generating circuit, which monitors a power source voltage supplied to the current sensing circuit and the power window motor, and which clamps a third reference voltage so as to drop a constant voltage from the third reference when the power source is low such that a potential difference between the second reference voltage and the third reference voltage is kept greater than a predetermined voltage.

A power-window jamming preventing apparatus, includes a current sensing circuit, which senses a motor current flowing through a motor for driving a window glass; a current limiting circuit, which increases and decreases the motor current based on a current-limitation control signal outputted from the current sensing circuit when an amount of increase of the motor current exceeds a predetermined vale; a jamming determining circuit, which determines a jamming of a foreign matter in the window glass based on increase of the motor current to reverse a rotation of the motor; and a charge/discharge controlling circuit which monitors a voltage level of a charge/discharge controlling signal, and controls a charging/discharging circuit to keep a third reference voltage constant when the charge/discharge controlling signal having one of voltage levels is continuously outputted for a predetermined time.

A device for detecting failure of a field effect transistor (FET) includes a first FET1 connected in series with a motor M between a power source terminal and ground, a motor control unitfor on/off controlling a voltage to be applied to said motor to set normal/reverse operation and stopping of said motor, a gate control unit for on/off controlling a gate voltage to be applied to said FET to control driving of said motor, a voltage applying means VB, Rfor applying a positive voltage at a prescribed voltage level to the current input terminal of the FET; a voltage detecting unit CMP1 for detecting the voltage level of the positive voltage thus applied when said gate voltage is off; and a failure detecting unitfor detecting short-circuiting failure of the FET on the basis of a change in the voltage level detected by said voltage detecting unit when said gate voltage is off while said motor stops. In this configuration, failure of the FET for controlling driving of the motor can be detected both when the motor stops and operates.
