Disclosed is a filter comprising an unbalanced input terminal and two balanced output terminals (a first balanced output terminal and a second balanced output terminal. A capacitor is connected between the first balanced output terminal and the GND, another capacitor is connected between the second balanced output terminal and the GND, and a first coil is connected between the first balanced output terminal and the second balanced output terminal.

The dielectric material constituting a dielectric portion is mainly composed of xBaO.yNdO.yBiO.zTiOwherein 0.09&#x2266;x&#x2266;0.25, 0.05&#x2266;y&#x2266;0.20, 0&#x3c;y&#x2266;0.10 and 0.60&#x2266;z&#x2266;0.75. The dielectric material constituting a joint portion is a BaO&#x2014;TiO&#x2014;ZnO dielectric material.

A sixth coil electrode forming a first coil is electrically connected to a twelfth coil electrode forming a second coil, for example, via a second capacitor electrode in a second capacitor electrode layer. Thus, an induction body has a permeability significantly smaller than the permeability of a magnetic body (for example permeability &#x3bc;=1). Accordingly, it is possible to minimize the permeability to such a degree that it is possible to ignore the connection between the first coil and the second coil appearing equivalently and to obtain a desired frequency characteristic.
