A housing includes a cylinder portion, a back portion, crimping portions, and supporting portions. The cylinder portion has a first opening, a second opening, and a cut and can be in contact with an external conductor of a receptacle inserted from the first opening. The back unit covers the second opening. Each of the supporting portions is disposed on the cylinder portion. Each of the crimping portions extends from the back portion and is bent so as to face the back portion such that the supporting portion is disposed between the crimping portion and the back portion. An elastic portion is disposed between the crimping portion and the supporting portion.

L-type coaxial connector

A coaxial connector having locking projections is provided which can be press-fittingly attached to and detached from a groove of a receptacle plural times with a smaller load and has a longer life without increasing the height of the coaxial connector. A tubular portion of a housing is rounded and has a gap formed by opposite ends of the tubular portion. A first locking projection is formed at a position diametrically opposite to the gap and a second locking projection and a third locking projection are located at positions that are spaced away from the first locking projection by about 90&#xb0; or more in a circumferential direction. A circumferential length of each projection is set to be smaller than a circumferential length of an interval between the first locking projection and the second or third locking projection.

Coaxial connector

An L-shaped coaxial connector manufactured with a relatively small number of processes and a method of manufacturing the L-shaped coaxial connector are provided. A housing of the L-shaped coaxial connector is connected to an outer conductor. A bushing is attached to the housing. A socket is attached to the bushing, and the socket is insulated from the housing through the bushing. The housing includes a crimping portion. The crimping portion is bendable, in a state in which a part of the bushing is exposed, so that the crimping portion is in pressed contact with the bushing. The bushing is in pressed contact with the insulating film with a force from the crimping portion. The socket pierces the insulating film with a force from the bushing to connect to a center conductor of a coaxial cable.

L-shaped coaxial connector and the manufacturing method

An electrical contact component includes a base defining an external terminal to be mounted on a surface of a wiring board with a solder and a fitting portion having a substantially tubular shaped fitting periphery. The external terminal has a first principal surface opposing the surface of the wiring board, a second principal surface substantially parallel to the first principal surface, and sides substantially perpendicular to the first and second principal surfaces and connecting the first principal surface to the second principal surface. The fitting portion is continuously provided on the second principal surface. The fitting periphery of the fitting portion is electrically connected to the second principal surface and the sides of the external terminal by metal layers formed over their respective surfaces. The metal layer contains Ni as a principal constituent and Co, and the metal layer contains Au as a principal constituent.

Electrical contact component, coaxial connector, and electrical circuit device including the same

A coaxial connector is connected to a leading end of a coaxial cable and is detachably connected to a receptacle. The coaxial connector includes a cylindrical housing including a spring portion having a projection to be fitted in a groove provided on the outer periphery of an outer conductor of the receptacle, a central conductor probe stored in the housing so as to be in contact with an inner terminal of the receptacle, and cylindrical sleeves held on the outer periphery of the housing so as to be movable in the axial direction. The sleeve has lock pieces provided in an upper portion and an annular portion in a lower portion. The lock pieces are in elastic contact with a first engaging portion and a second engaging portion provided on the outer periphery of the housing. The annular portion restricts expansion of the spring portion of the housing. The annular portion of the sleeve does not restrict the spring portion when detached (position A), and restricts expansion of the spring portion when attached (position B).

Coaxial connector and measuring coaxial probe

In a coaxial connector, signal lines are switched over by mounting and dismounting a probe having a central contact, and fixed yoke terminals, a movable terminal, and a permanent magnet constitute a magnetic circuit. When the probe is dismounted, the contact portions are connected by the magnetic force of the permanent magnet. When the probe is mounted, the contact portions are disconnected against the magnetic force such that the central contact pushes a protrusion portion of the movable terminal.

Coaxial connector and communication device

An electronic component, a coaxial connector, and a communication device each have a structure wherein flux does not intrude into the components thereof during mounting. The coaxial connector includes a synthetic resin case divided into a lower-side insulative case and an upper-side insulative case, and a fixed terminal, a movable terminal, and an external terminal each being made of metal. The lower-side insulative case has two notches provided therein. One of the notches receives the lead potion of the fixed terminal, and the other of the notches receives the lead potion of the movable terminal. These notches are configured such that clearances are provided to prevent capillary effect from occurring between the lead portions of the respective two terminals and the lower-side insulative case.

Electronic component, coaxial connector, and communication device

A movable terminal and a coaxial connector have greatly improved durability and have outstanding contact/connection reliability, and are included in a communication apparatus. A coaxial connector includes a two-split synthetic resin case having a lower insulating case and an upper insulating case, a metal fixed terminal, a movable terminal, and an external terminal. The movable terminal having a spring movable function includes a movable contact portion with which the fixed terminal makes contact, a fixed portion fit in the upper and lower insulating cases, and a lead portion bent in an L-shape. The movable contact portion has a frame-shaped portion, a spring movable portion upwardly curved in an arcuate shape, and a contact portion provided at the approximate center of the spring movable portion.

Movable terminal, coaxial connector, and communication apparatus incorporating the same

The present invention is to provide a coaxial connector capable of achieving secure and stable contact and connection, and realizing sufficiently small size and thin shape. A movable terminal has a movable mechanism part formed so as to have a spring movable function and a lead part, linked with the movable mechanism part, applied with the bending process into a U-shape. The movable mechanism part comprises a base part elongating from the lead part to both sides, two spring supporting parts formed at both end parts of the base part, a spring movable part elongating parallel with the base part between the spring supporting parts, and a contacting part formed projecting from the spring movable part. The spring movable part is supported and fixed at both ends by the spring supporting parts so as to form an arc-like shape with the center part bulged upward, and thus the contacting part can contact with the lower surface of the contacting part of the fixed terminal by the force derived from the spring property of the arc-like spring mechanism so that the fixed terminal and the movable terminal are contacted and connected.

An antenna-integrated strip line cable with which it is possible to improve the performance of a high-frequency appliance such as a portable telephone without making the appliance larger. An antenna-integrated strip line cable 1 is made up of a transmission line part 2, an antenna part 3 and a counterpoise 4. The transmission line part 2 is made up of two conductors 21, 22 disposed in parallel, insulators 23, 24 having plasticity or flexibility disposed between these two conductors 21, 22, and a central conductor 25 disposed between the insulators 23, 24 centrally in the width direction thereof. Wide-pattern impedance matching circuits 26a, 26b are provided in the central conductor 25. The antenna part 3 has portions of the insulator 24 and the central conductor 25 extending from the transmission line part 2. The counterpoise 4 has portions of the insulator 23 and the conductor 21 extending from the transmission line part 2. The counterpoise 4 is perpendicular to the antenna part 3 and the length of the counterpoise 4 is about one-fourth of the wavelength .lambda. of the frequency used. Some benefits of this novel construction are that the number of parts is reduced, the work of connecting a coaxial cable to an antenna is made unnecessary, the counterpoise reduces directivity of the antenna part, the antenna is tough, and it is not necessary to provide an impedance matching circuit externally.

Antenna-integrated strip line cable

A coaxial microstripline transducer, having an inner conductor with a center conductor portion arranged in a recess portion of a resin case and a terminal portion which is integral with the center conductor portion and formed so as to lead to a lower surface of the resin case. An outer conductor has a first conductor portion arranged along at least a part of an inner peripheral surface of the recess portion and a second conductor portion which is integral with the first conductor portion and extended to the lower surface across an upper surface and across a pair of side surfaces opposed to each other of the resin case. The inner and outer conductors are fixed to the resin case. The outer conductor is preferably made of sheet metal material so as to enjoy low high-frequency losses. The first conductor portion advantageously is resilient and projects into the recess portion of the resin case to grip and engage a plug inserted into the transducer.

Coaxial microstripline transducer

In a high frequency parallel strip line cable including a pair of thin-film-shaped earth conductors formed on both surfaces of a dielectric body so as to oppose to each other, a thin-film-shaped center conductor is formed in the dielectric body so as to be located between the pair of earth conductors, and the connector part is formed in one end of the high frequency parallel strip line cable so as to expose one end of the center conductor. Further, a connector is provided for connecting with the connector part of the high frequency parallel strip line cable. In the connector, a connection concave for inserting the connector part is formed in a dielectric case. An elastic center conductor terminal for electrically connecting to the center conductor of the high frequency parallel strip line cable is mounted in the dielectric case so as to extend into the connection concave, and at least one elastic earth conductor terminal for electrically connecting to at least one of the earth conductors of the high frequency parallel strip line cable is mounted in the dielectric case so as to extend into the connection concave.

A connector is disclosed which is to be mounted to a coaxial cable having an internal conductor, an internal insulator, cable outer (or shield) conductor, and a cable outer insulator. The connector comprises a housing formed of a connector outer conductor and a concentric inner contact. The connector outer conductor includes a cylindrical main portion and a rear cover portion. An outer conductor adapter is fixed to the main portion of the connector outer conductor and is adapted for insertion between the internal insulator and the cable outer conductor of the coaxial cable. A sleeve portion, which can include either a single securing member or two securing members to be wrapped about the coaxial cable, is formed integrally with the connector outer conductor. The inner contact is provided at its rear end with a slot into which the internal conductor is to be thrust, and at its forward end with a plurality of slits to provide an elastic firm holding force for holding a mating contact of another cable. An insulating member can be provided on a rear end of the inner contact. The insulating member is frustoconically shaped and includes a tapered groove in its front face to squeeze the rear end of the inner contact so as to positively engage the internal conductor in the slot. Solder can be provided about the internal conductor for more positive contact.

Connector

A plug side connector for substrate mounting, which includes a case formed with a recess, an inner contact provided in the recess so as to be joined with a corresponding inner contact socket of a mating jack side connector, and a partially cylindrical connector outer conductor provided at part of an inner periphery of the recess so as to be joined with an outer conductor of the mating jack side connector.
