This disclosure provides a flexible substrate antenna and antenna device including a flexible substrate antenna. The flexible substrate antenna includes a first parasitic radiation electrode and a second parasitic radiation electrode provided on the flexible substrate, where a leading ends (open ends) of the first parasitic radiation electrode and the second parasitic radiation electrode face each other with a slit of a predetermined gap therebetween. Further, a capacitive feed electrode is formed on the flexible substrate at a position facing the first parasitic radiation electrode, and is configured to capacitively feed power to the first parasitic radiation electrode.

Flexible substrate antenna and antenna device

An antenna unit and a radio communication device are provided. An antenna unit has a monopole antenna section and a loop antenna section. The monopole antenna section includes a linear radiating electrode that resonates at a first frequency and has an electrical length of one-quarter of the wave length corresponding to the first frequency. The loop antenna section includes a radiating electrode that resonates at a second frequency, is vertically erected on a non-ground region, and connected to a feed line. A proximal end of the radiating electrode of the loop antenna section is connected to an intermediate portion of the feed line, and a distal end thereof is connected to a ground region. The electrical length of the radiating electrode of the loop antenna section is one-half of the wave length of the second frequency.

Antenna unit and radio communication device

An antenna includes a base, a first radiating element, and second radiating element. The first radiating element is open at a first end thereof, is connected to a ground point at a second end thereof, and resonates in a substantially &#xbc; wavelength mode in a first communication frequency band. A feed line is connected between a first feed point and a predetermined position between the first end and the second end of the first radiating element. The second radiating element has a first end that is a second feed point, a second end that is connected to the ground point, and resonates in a substantially &#xbd; wavelength mode in a second communication frequency band. A distance from the ground point to the second feed point is longer than a distance from the ground point to the first feed point.

Multi-band antenna

A chip antenna and an antenna apparatus, which allow the resonance frequency of the antenna to be set with a high degree of freedom, include a feeding electrode formed on the bottom surface, fourth side surface, and top surface of a dielectric substrate, a non-feeding electrode formed on the bottom surface, third side surface, and top surface of the dielectric substrate, wherein the leading ends of the feeding electrode and the non-feeding electrode are facing each other with a predetermined distance therebetween on the top surface of the dielectric substrate. The chip antenna and antenna apparatus further include a frequency adjusting electrode formed on the first side surface of the dielectric substrate, and ground electrodes connected to ground electrodes of a circuit substrate on which the chip antenna is mounted, wherein the ground electrodes are electrically connected to the frequency adjusting electrode and are formed on the bottom surface of the dielectric substrate.

Chip antenna and antenna apparatus

A circularly polarized microstrip antenna includes a dielectric substrate having only an emitting electrode for generating circularly polarized waves on a front surface of the dielectric substrate and a coplanar signal line for feeding the emitting electrode and a ground electrode on a back surface of the dielectric substrate. The ground electrode covers the entire area of the back surface of the dielectric substrate excluding a region in which the signal line is provided. The signal line extends from an edge of the back surface of the dielectric substrate to an intermediate position between the edge of the back surface of the dielectric substrate and a center position O of the emitting electrode on the back surface of the dielectric substrate. Thus, a circularly polarized microstrip antenna whose circular polarization characteristic can be easily improved and whose manufacturing cost and size can be easily reduced is provided.

Circularly polarized microstrip antenna and radio communication apparatus including the same

A signal reception circuit includes a main antenna which receives signals in at least two predetermined reception frequency bands. A sub-antenna receives a signal in one of the reception frequency bands of the main antenna. A filter for interrupting a signal in the same frequency band as the reception frequency band of the sub-antenna is provided on a transmission line of a reception signal of the main antenna. A filter reflection signal in the same frequency band as the reception frequency band of the sub-antenna is induced in the sub-antenna, due to the antenna coupling thereof. The phase of the filter reflection signal is adjusted by a phase shifter between the main antenna and the filter, so that the induced signal of the sub-antenna is in phase with the reception signal of the sub-antenna. As a result, the level of the composed signal of the induced signal and the reception signal and is to be transmitted from the sub-antenna to a signal processing unit is greatly improved.

Signal reception circuit and communication device having the same

A surface mount antenna includes a conductive film provided on four continuous surfaces, that is, a front end surface, a top surface, a rear end surface, and a bottom surface, of a dielectric substrate. A plurality of slits is formed in the conductive film so as to divide the conductive film into a plurality of conductive film parts. At least one of the divided conductive film parts functions as a radiation electrode. Sides of one of the slits, that is, the slit forming an open end of the radiation electrode, are formed by a dicer. The position of the open end of the radiation electrode affects the resonance frequency of the radiation electrode. Since the dicer can cut with high precision, the open end can be provided substantially at a desired position, whereby the radiation electrode can generate a substantially the desired resonance frequency.

Surface mount antenna, method of manufacturing same, and communication device

In a coaxial connector, signal lines are switched over by mounting and dismounting a probe having a central contact, and fixed yoke terminals, a movable terminal, and a permanent magnet constitute a magnetic circuit. When the probe is dismounted, the contact portions are connected by the magnetic force of the permanent magnet. When the probe is mounted, the contact portions are disconnected against the magnetic force such that the central contact pushes a protrusion portion of the movable terminal.

Coaxial connector and communication device

A surface mount antenna includes a substrate and a radiation electrode (having a predetermined resonance frequency) disposed on the substrate. An electrode is formed to cover four continuously connected surfaces including the front surface, the front end surface, the rear surface and the rear end surface of each substrate. Then, a dicer is used to cut a slit on the radiation electrode formed on the surface of the dielectric substrate. Here, the slit is arranged in a direction intersecting a direction &agr; connecting the two end surfaces. Subsequently, the dielectric substrate is cut into a plurality of portions along the direction &agr;, thus producing a plurality of surface mount antennas each including a substantially rectangular substrate and a radiation electrode formed essentially surrounding an outer circumference of the substrate.

Surface mount antenna, method of manufacturing the surface mount antenna, and radio communication apparatus equipped with the surface mount antenna

An antenna structure includes a surface-mounted antenna which has a base member. A radiating electrode and an antenna-side control electrode are disposed on the base member. A capacitance is generated between the antenna-side control electrode and an open end of the radiating electrode, and the antenna-side control electrode electrically floats. A board-side control electrode which is electrically connected with the antenna-side control electrode and which electrically floats is disposed on a mounting board. The board-side control electrode is connected with a ground conductor at high frequencies through a resonant frequency adjuster. The resonant frequency adjuster has a capacitance or an inductance. By changing the capacitance or the inductance, the resonant frequency of the radiating electrode can be changed without changing the surface-mounted antenna.

Antenna structure and communication apparatus including the same

An LC parallel resonance circuit is connected in series with the power supply side of the antenna conductor portion. The antenna conductor portion is configured so as to resonate at a frequency slightly lower than the center frequency in the higher frequency band of two frequency bands for transmitting and receiving radio waves. The LC parallel resonance circuit is configured so as to resonate substantially at the center frequency in the lower frequency band for transmitting and receiving a radio wave and be capable of providing to the antenna conductor portion a capacitance for causing the antenna conductor portion to resonate at the center frequency in the higher frequency band. Thus, a circuit for changing the upper and lower frequency bands is not needed. Such a change-over circuit, which is complicated, causes problems in that the conduction loss increases, and the antenna sensitivity deteriorates. Without need of the change-over circuit, the conduction loss can be reduced, the antenna sensitivity can be enhanced and costs can be reduced.

Antenna device and radio equipment having the same

A reduced thickness radio unit without deteriorating antenna performance is disclosed. A metallic plate performing radio wave transmission/reception together with the radiation electrode, is conductively connected to the radiation electrode of a surface-mount type antenna. The metallic plate is preferably disposed so as to be opposed to the outer long-side surface of the substrate of the surface-mount type antenna with a space therebetween. Therefore, when mounting the metallic metal on a circuit board of the radio unit, the metallic plate does not face the circuit board surface and the top surface of a shield case, which are equivalent to ground. By thus disposing the metallic plate substantially perpendicularly to the circuit board, the problem of increase in electrostatic capacitance between the metallic plate and ground can be avoided, the increase in electrostatic capacitance being due to the reduction in thickness of the radio unit.

A dielectric antenna including a filter, comprising: a dielectric substrate; an antenna portion, comprising a radiation electrode having one short-circuited end and one open end and provided on or within the dielectric substrate; a filter portion comprising; at least one resonance electrode provided on or within the dielectric substrate, and a external coupling electrode in association with the resonance electrode; and the radiation electrode and the resonance electrode being coupled to each other.

The invention provides an electronic part comprising an electronic-part body comprising: composite-material body made of synthetic resin in which ceramic powder as a functional material and a catalytic agent to make plating practicable are dispersed; and a layer of composite material of synthetic resin in which ceramic powder as a functional material is dispersed, said layer covering the external surface of said composite-material body except the portion in which an electrode is to be disposed; and an electrode disposed on the external surface of said electronic-part body. The above described electronic part is excellent in the freedom of shape, high in dimensional accuracy, and it is easy to realize the intended electrical characteristics.
