A display device of electric power system information comprises a display unit including a display screen; and a screen display control unit for controlling the display unit. The display screen includes a display area that is divided into a plurality of display cells each of which has a mapping function for showing relative positional relations. The display unit includes an electric power system diagram display function unit for displaying an electric system diagram that embodies the state of an electric power system being a monitoring target, a mapping item display function unit for displaying mapping display items in the background of the electric power system diagram using the display cells, and a menu display function for displaying menus and icons, which are used for selecting the mapping display items, on the display screen, and for accepting selection operations to the menus and icons on the display cells on the display screen. The mapping display items represent information of state quantities regarding the state of the electric power system being the monitoring target, and the mapping display items are displayed per display cell with different colors in accordance with the corresponding values of state quantities.

A rotary actuator includes a multi-polar magnet, in which north and south poles are alternately arranged in a circumferential direction, the multi-polar magnet being shaped into one of a circular ring and a circular arc member; and a coil body having coils which are provided around the multi-polar magnet to be capable of moving in the circumferential direction of the multi-polar magnet, each of the coils substantially lying on a plane that extends in a radial direction of the multi-polar magnet and orthogonal to the circumferential direction of the multi-polar magnet. The north and south poles of the multi-polar magnet are positioned apart from each other by a predetermined interval in the circumferential direction. Dimensions of each coil are predetermined so that length of each coil in the circumferential direction is associated with the predetermined interval. Predetermined currents are passed through the coils in a properly phased manner.

A linear actuator includes a multipolar magnet configured such that an S pole and an N pole are linearly aligned in an alternating manner. The linear actuator also includes a coil body having a plurality of separate coil units integrally arranged in a lengthwise direction of the coil body, and being movable relative to the multipolar magnet. The linear actuator further includes a magnetic sensor that detects a position of the coil body along the lengthwise direction of the coil body with respect to the multipolar magnet, and an electrifying control circuit that individually controls currents to be supplied to the plurality of coil units based on the position of the coil body detected by the magnet sensor.
