A vehicle-mounted information processing apparatus is mounted in a vehicle and includes: a plurality of processing units that perform processing in parallel or pseudo-parallel; a shared storage unit that is accessible by the plurality of processing units; and a detection unit that detects an abnormality at the shared storage unit. The processing units each include a communication unit that performs communication via a communication line, and the plurality of processing units exchange information via the shared storage unit. When the detection unit has detected an abnormality at the shared storage unit, the processing units exchange information through communication using the communication units. The plurality of processing units and the shared storage unit may be integrated into a single integrated circuit, and information may be exchanged via a communication line outside the integrated circuit when the detection unit has detected an abnormality at the shared storage unit.

The vehicle-vehicle communication system includes a roadside communication apparatus including a roadside reception unit receiving information transmitted by the in-vehicle communication apparatus using a wireless signal and a roadside transmission unit transmitting the information received by the roadside reception unit using a wireless signal, and relays communication between multiple vehicles. The in-vehicle communication apparatus includes a vehicle-side reception unit that receives information wirelessly transmitted by an in-vehicle communication apparatus mounted in another vehicle and information wirelessly transmitted by a roadside communication apparatus; a determination unit determines whether or not the information received by the vehicle-side reception unit is needed; and an information processing unit performs information processing based on information determined by the determination unit as being needed.

A road-vehicle communication system includes an in-vehicle communication apparatus and a roadside communication apparatus, the in-vehicle communication apparatus has a vehicle information transmission unit that transmits vehicle information related to a vehicle. The roadside communication apparatus has a storage unit storing a plurality of pieces of data to be transmitted to the in-vehicle communication apparatus. A vehicle information reception unit receives vehicle information transmitted from the in-vehicle communication apparatus. A transmission data generation unit combines a plurality of pieces of data stored in the storage unit to generate a single piece of transmission data. A data transmission unit transmits the data generated by the transmission data generation unit to the in-vehicle communication apparatus. A combined number adjustment unit adjusts the number of pieces of data to be combined by the transmission data generation unit, based on vehicle information received by the vehicle information reception unit.

Road-vehicle communication system, roadside communication apparatus, in-vehicle communication apparatus, and road-vehicle communication method

A communication device comprises a connector to which a communication line is to be connected for sending and receiving a control signal concerning charge control between a transportation apparatus and a charging apparatus, a modem outputting a modulated signal obtained by modulating information to be sent and demodulating the modulated signal input, and a first internal communication line and a second internal communication line each being connected to the connector and the modem, the first internal communication line and the second internal communication line respectively being for sending the modulated signal and being for receiving the modulated signal, and sends and receives the modulated signal by superposing the modulated signal on the control signal. The modem outputs a beacon signal for communication, and comprises a branch line branched at an intermediate location of the second internal communication line, a wave detector circuit that detects the beacon signal transmitted to the branch line by way of the first internal communication line, the connector and the second internal communication line, and a diagnosis unit that performs a fault diagnosis of its own device based on a signal obtained through detection by the wave detector circuit.
