An X-ray CT apparatus includes a fixed gantry having a plurality of stator coils arranged in a circle and mounted on the fixed gantry. A ring-shaped rotation frame of the CT apparatus includes a plurality of rotor magnets facing the plurality of stator coils. The CT apparatus further has an X-ray tube and an X-ray detector situated on the rotation frame to face each other and a supporting unit configured to provide non-contact support of the rotation frame on the fixed gantry. A magnetic pole detection unit of the apparatus is configured to detect a magnetic pole position of the rotor magnet at a start-up time of the plurality of stator coils and a brake mechanism of the apparatus is configured to apply a brake load to the rotation frame when detecting the magnetic pole position and to remove the brake load after detecting the magnetic pole position.

X-ray CT apparatus and a method for detecting magnetic pole position thereof

An X-ray-generator irradiates X-rays at a subject. The X-ray-detector detects the X-rays that have permeated the subject. The rotating body on which the X-ray-generator and the X-ray-detector are installed rotates around the subject. The rotating body is rotated by the drive part. The power source supplies electrical power to the drive part. The step-down part lowers the voltage of the regenerative electrical power generated at the drive part during the deceleration of the rotating body. The accumulation part charges the lowered electrical power. The step-up part raises the voltage of the electrical power from the accumulation part and supplies electrical power to the drive part.

X-ray CT apparatus and a method of controlling the same

An X-ray computed tomographic apparatus includes a rotary frame, a mechanism which rotatably supports the rotary frame, an X-ray tube which is mounted to the rotary frame, an X-ray detector which is mounted to the rotary frame, a plurality of rotor magnets which is arranged in the rotary frame, a plurality of stator coils which is opposed to the rotor magnets, an MR sensor which detects a magnetic-flux variation accompanied by a movement of the rotor magnets, and a position specifying unit which specifies a magnetic-pole position of each rotor magnet with respect to each stator coil on the basis of an output of the MR sensor and a convergence time from a vibration start of the rotary frame caused by a short-time excitation of the stator coil to a vibration stop of the rotary frame.

An X-ray CT apparatus according to this invention comprises X-ray generating unit which irradiates X rays toward a object, detecting unit which detects X rays irradiated from the X-ray generating unit and passed through the object, support unit which supports the X-ray generating unit and the detecting unit, driving unit which rotates the support unit, and control unit which controls the driving unit, accumulates regenerative energy generated when the rotating speed of the support unit is decelerated, and supplies the accumulated regenerative energy to the driving unit to rotate the support unit.

An X-ray computed tomography apparatus includes a substantially annular frame, a mechanism configured to support rotatably the frame, an X-ray tube mounted on the frame, an X-ray detector mounted on the frame, a position detecting unit configured to detect that the frame passes a reference position, a counting unit configured to count the cumulative number of revolutions of the frame on the basis of an output from the position detecting unit, and a storage unit configured to store data of the cumulative number of revolutions of the frame.

The converter is provided at a bottom of the body and is configured to convert regenerative energy caused by the driver to heat energy.

X-ray computed tomography apparatus with heat emission system

An X-ray CT apparatus includes a pair of an involute gear and a magnetic sensor as a structure for detecting the rotation of the gantry rotary section in a non-contact fashion. The involute gear imparts a periodic change in the magnetic flux in the circumferential direction of a circle coaxial with the gantry rotary section. The magnetic sensor including the magnet and the magnetic reluctance (MR) elements detects the change in the magnetic flux caused by the rotation of the involute gear together with the gantry rotary section to generate a pulse signal conforming with the change in the magnetic flux. The pulse signal obtained from the magnetic sensor is supplied to the servo amplifier, the CT main control section, etc. via the signal processing unit.
