A method for producing the metal cylinder material according to the present disclosure includes: a process A of forming a slitted cylinder-shaped body including at least one slit extending from one end face to the other end face of a cylinder barrel portion consisting of at least one metal plate material; a process B of forming a filler-equipped cylinder-shaped body including a filling portion obtained by filling the slit with a filler for the filler to be filled throughout the slit in a length direction of the slit; and a process C of, by inserting at least a probe of a friction stir rotation tool including the probe at least into the filling portion and executing FSP, reforming at least the filling portion of the filler-equipped cylinder-shaped body to obtain the metal cylinder material including an FSP portion.

A tool for friction stir welding includes a tool part, a shank part and a cap part. The tool part and the shank part have a hexagonal frustum-shaped concave section and a hexagonal frustum-shaped convex section to enable movement of the tool part with respect to the shank part in a direction parallel to an axis of rotation while movement of the tool part with respect to the shank part in a direction around the axis of rotation is restricted, by the hexagonal frustum-shaped concave section and the hexagonal frustum-shaped convex section of the tool part and the shank part are fitted to each other. After the hexagonal frustum-shaped concave section and the hexagonal frustum-shaped convex section are fitted to each other, by the tool part and the shank part being covered by the cap part, the tool part is fixed to the shank part.

A conveyer device conveys a component assembly including a female screw component having a through hole defining a female screw, an assembling component to be assembled to the female screw component from above, and a bolt to be screwed to the female screw of the female screw component from above the assembling component to fix the assembling component. The conveyer device also includes a holding member for holding the female screw component and a screwing restriction mechanism for restricting the bolt, held by the assembling component while unscrewed from the female screw, from being screwed to the female screw. Thus, when the component assembly, to which the bolt is temporarily assembled without being engaged with the female screw, is conveyed while being held by the holding member via the female screw component, the bolt is prevented from being unintentionally screwed into the female screw as the result of vibration etc. caused by the conveyance.

A snap-ring supplying device includes a magazine () containing C-shaped snap rings (S) piled together each of which has a gap, an extrusion member () that pushes out a snap ring occupying the lowest position in the magazine so that the gap (S) of the snap ring is directed forwardly in an extruding direction, a conveying path () that conveys the snap ring pushed out by the extrusion member to an area in which the snap ring is contracted to reduce the diameter of the snap ring, a projection-strip guide wall () formed to stand upwardly in a substantially vertical direction with a width that is defined by forming a pair of concave parts () and that can enter the gap of the snap ring in a termination area of the conveying path, and an oscillating member () and urging members () serving as a restricting mechanism () that restricts the gap of the snap ring so that the gap is directed in a direction from the magazine to the projection-strip guide wall. With this structure, the direction of the gap is restricted during conveyance, and hence the snap ring can be supplied to the ring-contracting area while reliably changing the attitude of the snap ring.
