A printer includes a recording head performing recording on a medium and includes a base stand that has a mounting surface capable of mounting the medium. A pump that absorbs or suctions the medium mounted on the mounting surface of the base stand, in which a pressure or a suction force is applied from a part of the medium to an entirety thereof.

Recording apparatus

A printing apparatus (liquid droplet ejecting apparatus) includes a detector configured to output a first signal which denotes that a medium is not supported on a support face of a medium support unit, and a second signal which denotes that a medium is supported on the support face; and a controller that limits executing of a printing operation when the first signal in received and allows executing of a printing operation when the second signal is received. The controller is configured to ignore the first signal or interpret the first signal as the second signal under a specified condition.

Liquid droplet ejecting apparatus

A liquid droplet ejecting apparatus includes a medium supporting portion that moves in a transport direction in a state of supporting a medium; a liquid droplet ejecting portion that ejects liquid droplets (ink droplets) onto an ejection area of the medium supported by the medium supporting portion; a detection portion that detects a light amount of reflected light of light having been emitted toward the medium supporting portion or the medium supported by the medium supporting portion; and a carriage that reciprocates in a width direction intersecting the transport direction, in a state of supporting the liquid droplet ejecting portion and the detection portion, and a reflection pattern constituted of a high reflection portion having a high reflectance and a low reflection portion having a low reflectance which are repeatedly arranged in the width direction is formed on the medium supporting portion.

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes: a liquid ejecting head that ejects a light-curable UV ink onto a medium; an irradiator that irradiates the UV ink ejected onto the medium with UV light and cures the UV ink; a control device that controls intensity of the UV light applied from the irradiator to the medium; and a carriage motor that moves the irradiator in one direction, in which the control device changes the intensity of the UV light applied from the irradiator to the medium while the carriage motor moves the irradiator in one direction.
