[Subject] In a hybrid drive power apparatus, loss of drive power caused by drag torque of a friction clutch is decreased to reduce fuel consumption rate. [Solution] A hybrid drive power apparatus of the type which comprises a first gear-shift mechanism assembled with a first input shaft to be applied with drive power from an engine through a first friction clutch, a second gear-shift mechanism assembled with a second input shaft to be applied with the drive power of the engine through a second friction clutch, a motor-generator in drive connection with the second input shaft, a final output shaft in drive connection with each output shaft of both the gear-shift mechanisms, and a driven mechanism to be driven by drive power transferred from the final output shaft, wherein drive torque of the motor-generator activated as an electric motor is transferred to the final output shaft through a gear set as a shift step selected in the second gear-shift mechanism, wherein the hybrid drive power apparatus includes control means for activating the motor-generator as the electric motor in a condition where the first friction clutch is brought into engagement to transfer drive torque of the engine to the final output shaft through the first input shaft and the first gear-shift mechanism and for engaging the second friction clutch after activation of the motor-generator so that the final output shaft is applied with drive torque of the motor-generator activated as the electric motor and the drive torque of the engine through the first input shaft and the first gear-shift mechanism.

Hybrid power drive apparatus

In a hybrid power system, when a change-speed stage selected in one of gear-shift mechanisms for first and second drive trains is switched over to another change-speed stage in the other gear-shift mechanism, deceleration in rotation speed of an engine detected by a rotation speed sensor is compared with a preset upper limit. When the deceleration in rotation speed of the engine exceeds the upper limit, the motor-generator in drive connection with an input shaft of the second drive train is activated as an electric motor to cause load torque canceling or offsetting input torque applied to the input shaft of the other gear-shift mechanism from the engine, and engagement of the change-speed stage in the other gear-shift mechanism is released after the occurrence of the load torque.

Hybrid power drive system

In an automatic dual-clutch transmission, a lowest speed driven gear, other driven gears and a reverse gear are provided on a first output shaft to be freely rotatable. A 2nd speed driven gear and a highest speed driven gear are provided on a second output shaft to be freely rotatable. Further, the 2nd speed driven gear is provided with a large-diameter gear meshing with a 2nd speed drive gear and a small-diameter gear provided bodily with the large-diameter gear, being fewer in tooth number and smaller in diameter than the large-diameter gear, and meshing with the reverse gear. Thus, the automatic dual-clutch transmission is reduced in diameter by not having an output shaft dedicated to the reverse gear and is able to set the gear ratio for reverse to be large.

Automatic dual-clutch transmission

A hybrid-type power transmission in which an internal combustion engine and an electric rotating machine are used as a source of power for driving an output shaft through a change-speed mechanism. In the hybrid power transmission, the operation of the electric rotating machine is controlled in such a manner that the rotation speed of a rotor-side rotary member is synchronized with the rotation speed of an input-side or output-side rotary member when the rotation speed of the rotor-side rotary member becomes higher in a predetermined difference than the rotation speed of the input-side or output-side rotary member in shifting operation of a sleeve coupled with the rotor-side rotary member.

Control device for electric rotating machine in hybrid-type power transmission

A gear-type transmission apparatus includes a first input shaft, a second input shaft provided coaxially and rotatably relative to the first input shaft, a first counter shaft and a second counter shaft arranged in parallel to the first and the second input shafts, an output shaft, a dual clutch mechanism having a first clutch and a second clutch for transmitting a rotation of a driving shaft driven by a power source to the first and the second input shafts, a first gear change mechanism, a second gear change mechanism, a reverse gear set having a reverse shift stage driving gear, a reverse shift stage intermediate gear, and a reverse shift stage driven gear, and a switching clutch having a reverse shift stage engaging member for establishing/interrupting a torque transmission from the driving shaft to the output shaft via the reverse shift set.

Gear-type transmission apparatus

A dual clutch transmission apparatus includes a first input shaft, a second input shaft arranged coaxially with the first input shaft and freely rotatable, a first counter shaft and a second counter shaft arranged in parallel with the first and the second input shafts, a dual clutch including a first clutch and a second clutch, the first and the second clutches transmitting rotational torque from a power source to the first and the second input shafts respectively, a first gear change mechanism provided between the first and the second input shafts and the first counter shaft, a second gear change mechanism provided between the first and the second input shafts and the second counter shaft and an output shaft connected to the first and the second counter shafts via a first reduction gear train and a second reduction gear.

Dual clutch transmission apparatus

A vehicle transmission apparatus includes an engine generating a driving force; a transmission having, therein, at least one input shaft being connectable to the engine and an output shaft connected to a drive wheel, the transmission being capable of establishing, therein, one of plural shift stages in response to a vehicle driving condition; at least one clutch mechanism for establishing and interrupting transmission of a driving force of the engine to the transmission, the at least one clutch mechanism being capable of being connected to the at least one input shaft; and a braking means for applying a braking force to the engine.

Transmission apparatus having a clutch

A synchronizing apparatus for a power transmission comprises a shaft for rotation in response to a power source, a clutch hub fixed to the shaft for rotation therewith, the hub including an outer spline thereon; a sleeve including an inner spline for engaging the outer spline of the clutch hub, and having an inner frictional face radially outward from the inner spline; a gear rotatably mounted on the shaft including an outer spline surface having first and second grooves therein, and a circular groove between the first and second grooves; the spline surface also having a pair of adjoining sloped portions thereon, each having a different degree of slope; a synchronizing ring including an outer frictional surface for frictional contact with the inner frictional face, and an inner projection for engaging the outer spline surface of the gear and; a spring mounted in the circular groove for movement along the two sloped portions of the outer spline surface for biasing the ring toward the sleeve.

Synchronizing apparatus for a power transmission

A two-wheel/four-wheel automatic change-over device in an automobile transfer apparatus is disclosed. In the transfer apparatus in which driving forces are transmitted directly from a transmission to front two wheels or rear two wheels and also transmitted through a wet-type multiple disc clutch to the other two wheels, the two-wheel/four-wheel change-over device has a change-over control unit for changing over from two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive. This unit automatically effects an engagement and a release of a wet-type multiple disc clutch in response to a signal of high speed travelling, a signal of slope travelling, a signal of quick acceleration travelling, a slip signal obtained from a relation between a real car speed and rotation of the wheels and a signal of a selector switch. In such a constitution, the wet-type multiple disc clutch is usually hydraulic-controlled so that it is differentiable in time of the four-wheel travelling. The direct connection type four-wheel drive or the two-wheel drive is performed in accordance with those signals with no time-lag. With this arrangement, a tight corner brake phenomenon can be avoided.

Two-wheel/four-wheel automatic change-over device in automobile transfer

A control system for a four wheel drive vehicle is disclosed which either prevents the transmitting of the power of an internal combustion engine incorrectly or gives a warning signal indicative of incorrect operation. The control system includes two sensors for separately detecting the rotational frequency of front and rear propeller shafts, a control circuit for determining the rotational frequency difference between the front and rear propeller shafts and for generating control signals relative to a predetermined set point. A contact or a switch is operated by the control circuit. In one embodiment, an alarm buzzer and an alarm lamp are also provided.
