A driver assistance system includes at least one processor and at least one memory communicably coupled to the processor. The processor is configured to acquire data regarding presence or absence of a passer-by in a blind spot region as viewed from a vehicle to be assisted. The presence or the absence of the passer-by is identified based on, at least, recognition results by object recognition systems including an object recognition system other than an object recognition system of the vehicle to be assisted. The processor is configured to calculate certainty of a recognition result of the presence or the absence of the passer-by based on, at least, the number of the object recognition systems that recognize the same passer-by, and carry out processing of reducing a risk of collision between the vehicle to be assisted and the passer-by, in accordance with the certainty calculated.

Driver assistance system and computer-readable recording medium

A driving assistance apparatus sets a driving condition of a vehicle, based on a risk of surrounding environment that includes an object around the vehicle. The driving assistance apparatus includes a forward-risk calculator, a backward-risk calculator, and a driving-condition setter. The forward-risk calculator is configured to calculate a forward risk corresponding to a risk of a collision with a leading vehicle that travels ahead of the vehicle. The backward-risk calculator is configured to calculate a backward risk corresponding to a risk of a collision with a trailing vehicle that travels behind the vehicle. The driving-condition setter is configured to set the driving condition of the vehicle, based on the forward risk and the backward risk.

Driving assistance apparatus

A vehicle controller includes a processor that switches, when detecting a physical abnormality of an occupant of an own vehicle based on physical information of the occupant, the own vehicle to an emergency mode in which the own vehicle automatically travels to a destination. The processor receives, when the own vehicle is switched to the emergency mode, other vehicle information from another vehicle switched to the emergency mode. The other vehicle information includes information on a physical abnormality of an occupant of the other vehicle. Based on the other vehicle information and own vehicle information including information on the physical abnormality of the occupant of the own vehicle, the processor sets the order of priority to determine which of the own vehicle or the other vehicle is allowed to travel preferentially, and sends, based on the order of priority, a medical aid request to an information processor.

Vehicle controller and vehicle control system

A vehicle control apparatus to be applied to a vehicle includes a driver state-value detection processor, a road-surface-state detection processor, a threshold setting processor, a dangerous-driving determination processor, and a determination threshold changing processor. The driver state-value detection processor detects a state value of a driver who drives the vehicle. The road-surface-state detection processor detects a road-surface state of a road on which the vehicle is traveling. The threshold setting processor decides, based on the state value, one or more determination thresholds of a state to be determined as occurrence of dangerous driving. The dangerous-driving determination processor determines that the dangerous driving is occurring in a case where the state value is present within a range outside any of the one or more determination thresholds for a predetermined time period or more. The determination threshold changing processor changes the one or more determination thresholds based on the road-surface state.
