A cancellation circuit includes a limiter connected to an output of a first transmitter power amplifier that converts in input sinewave to a digital square wave and a digital to time converter (DTC) connected to the limiter. A RF digital to RF converter is connected to the DTC that converts the digital square wave input into an analog RF output. A cancellation amplifier with an input receives an output from the RF digital to RF converter and has an output connected to an output of a second transmitter power amplifier. The cancellation amplifier produces a cancellation signal to cancel an interference signal at the output of the second transmitter power amplifier from the output of the first transmitter power amplifier. A power detector is connected to the output of the second power amplifier that produces a power value detected at the output of the second power amplifier.

Embodiments of a calibration system for third order intermodulation distortion (IMD3) cancellation and a wireless apparatus are disclosed. In an embodiment, a calibration system for IMD3 cancellation includes a cancellation circuit for IMD3 cancellation between a first transmitter and a second transmitter, and a controller coupled to the cancellation circuit and configured to for each frequency channel of the first transmitter, perform a pre-conditional calibration of the cancellation circuit, after the pre-conditional calibration, determine a phase configuration for the cancellation circuit, and after the phase configuration for the cancellation circuit is determined, determine an attenuation configuration for the cancellation circuit.

Third order intermodulation distortion cancellation

A dynamic temperature manager of a wireless system determines a threshold temperature defined by one or more operating parameters of the wireless system, the threshold temperature indicating a temperature in response to which power consumption of the wireless system is to be reduced. The dynamic temperature manager receives an indication of a temperature of the wireless system. A determination is made that the temperature exceeds the threshold temperature. The dynamic temperature manager provides an indication to cause a media access control (MAC) processing circuitry of the wireless system to adjust the one or more operating parameters of the wireless system to reduce the power consumption and the temperature of the wireless system based on the determination that the temperature exceeds the threshold temperature.

One example discloses an OFDM wireless communications device, including: a memory configured to support processing of OFDM tones; a controller, coupled to the memory, and configured to set the wireless communication device to a first mode and a second mode; wherein the first mode is configured to transmit or receive a first wireless communication signal having a first set of OFDM tones contained within an OFDM channel bandwidth; wherein the second mode is configured to transmit or receive a second wireless communication signal having a second set of OFDM tones contained within the OFDM channel bandwidth; and wherein the memory used for processing the first set of OFDM tones is same as the memory used for processing the second set of OFDM tones.

Wireless networking transceiver circuitry for an integrated circuit device includes a plurality of wireless networking transceiver subsystems, each subsystem including respective processing circuitry configurable for coupling to radio circuitry to implement a respective set of protocol features selected from at least one overall set of protocol features. Memory circuitry is provided, sufficient to support a respective set of protocol features in each subsystem when at least one respective set of protocol features is smaller than the overall set of protocol features. Memory-sharing circuitry is provided, configurable to couple respective portions of the memory circuitry to the processing circuitry of respective subsystems. The memory circuitry and the memory-sharing circuitry may be outside the subsystems, or distributed within the subsystems. The memory may be 60% of an amount of memory sufficient to support the overall set of protocol features in all subsystems. Each processing circuit may be coupled to radio circuitry.

The present disclosure describes methods and apparatuses for phase-based cyclic redundancy check (CRC) verification for wireless communication. In some aspects, a soft phase value and a sliced phase value are received for a symbol of a data packet, the data packet received via a wireless interface. An error measurement is determined for the symbol based on the soft phase value and the sliced phase value. The error measurement for the symbol is then compared to an error measurement threshold for detecting symbol-level errors in the data packet. Based on the error measurement exceeding an error measurement threshold, a bit error can be detected in the data packet, which may have passed CRC. By detecting the bit error despite a CRC pass, the bit error can be indicated to higher-level entity of the wireless interface. This can be effective to prevent the bit error from impairing operation of the higher-level entity.

Phase-based cyclic redundancy check verification for wireless communication

Improvements associated with determining a location of a station device are described. According to one improvement, a method is performed by a network device. The method includes receiving a response packet from a station device, multiple times, as received signals by switching between a plurality of antennas of the network device during reception of each occurrence of the response packet. The received signals are converted to corrupted orthogonal samples. The response packet is received from the station device a final time as a final response packet via a single antenna of the plurality of antennas. Ideal orthogonal samples are re-generated based at least in part on the final response packet. Signal phase information, embedded in the corrupted and ideal orthogonal samples, is converted into estimated locations of the station device.

System and method for providing short-range, low-energy location services

Different scan modes are provided for Bluetooth devices. In at least some embodiments, a narrowband scanning mode looks for signal energy on individual transmission frequencies at a time. By looking for signal energy rather than decoding transmitted packets, at least some of the components in a Bluetooth device can remain in an idle or rest state. A midband scanning mode looks for signal energy across multiple different frequencies at a time. Again, by looking for signal energy across multiple different frequencies rather than decoding transmitted packets, at least some of the components in a Bluetooth device can remain in an idle or rest state. A wideband scanning mode looks for signal energies across all relevant frequencies at a time. At least some embodiments enable a Bluetooth device to switch between scanning modes.

USB self-idling techniques are described. In one or more embodiments, a Universal Serial Bus (USB) device comprises one or more modules to communicate via USB and self-idle by presenting an idle mode to a USB host and entering a suspend mode after the idle mode, the suspend mode being entered while the USB host is presented with the idle mode.

A system and method for frequency hopping precalibrates a subset of a plurality of channels, storing the channels' associated curves in a computer readable medium. Before hopping to a new channel, decision making circuitry can access the precalibrated curves. If the destination channel has an associated curve, then the system can use the values from that curve when hopping to a new channel. If the destination channel does not have an associated precalibrated curve, then the system can identify a closely situated channel with a precalibrated curve and use an offset value to settle at the destination channel. According to another aspect of the present invention, the offsets can be updated. According to a further aspect of the invention, the updated can be done dynamically.
