A docking display has a multi-stream transmission (MST) port, an MST controller, a display panel, a control circuit, a hub, a first video output port, and a second video output port. The MST port is used for inputting at least one video stream. The MST controller is used for processing the at least one video stream. The control circuit is used for outputting a first video stream of the at least one video stream to the display panel to drive the display panel to display images according to the first video stream. When the at least one video stream has a plurality of video streams, the hub outputs a second video stream of the video streams from a first output port of the hub to the first video output port, or from a second output port of the hub through the MST controller to the second video output port.

Docking display with a built-in hub

A display control system includes a display and an electronic device. The display includes a display panel, a USB hub, and a display control circuit. The USB hub receives a control signal in a first format through a USB interface. The display control circuit receives a control signal in a second format from the USB hub and controls the display panel according to the control signal in the second format. The electronic device includes an input device, a USB driver circuit, and a processor circuit. The input device generates an input signal. The USB driver circuit is electrically coupled to the USB hub of the display through the USB interface. The processor circuit generates an original control signal according to the input signal and controls the USB driver circuit to transmit the control signal in the first format through the USB interface.

Display control system and display with universal serial bus (USB) control

A display updating system and a display are provided. The display updating system includes a display and an electronic device. The display includes a display panel, a USB hub, and a display control circuit. The USB hub is configured to receive a plurality of display program codes through a USB interface. The display control circuit is configured to receive the display program codes from the USB hub and store the display program codes. The electronic device is connected to the display through the USB interface and includes a memory, a USB driver circuit, and a calculation circuit. The memory is configured to store the display program codes. The USB driver circuit is connected to the USB hub of the display through the USB interface. The calculation circuit is configured to control the USB driver circuit to transmit the display program codes through the USB interface.

An image processing method applied to a display device having a processing circuit and a screen and includes: receiving a first image from one of a plurality of electronic devices; detecting whether the first image has a black border area; and if the first image has the black border area, performing a first display operation, wherein performing the first display operation includes: removing the black border area of the first image, to generate a second image; adjusting the size of the second image according to the size of a display area of the screen; calculating a first blank area of the screen based on the adjusted second image; requesting a third image from another one of the electronic devices according to the size of the first blank area; and filling the display area of the screen with the adjusted second image and the third image.

Image processing method and display device

A method for optimizing a display image based on display content is provided. The method is applicable to a display control chip, and includes following operations: receiving a video signal configured to transmit an image of a frame; with respect to multiple different sub-areas in an area of the image, calculating a pixel number distribution of each sub-area along multiple characteristic values; determining, according to the pixel number distribution, whether the sub-area comprises a corresponding first target pattern of multiple first target patterns; if the multiple sub-areas comprise the multiple first target patterns, respectively, performing a first preset image processing to the image to generate a processed image; if the multiple sub-areas are free from comprising the multiple first target patterns, respectively, omitting the first preset image processing to the image; and generating a display signal according to the processed image or the image.

A display system includes a display device. The display device is arranged to receive a video signal and a control signal from a host system, and includes a processing circuit and a display screen, wherein the processing circuit is arranged to process an original frame corresponding to the video signal according to the control signal, to generate a magnified frame, and generate a processed frame according to the magnified frame and the original frame, and the display screen is coupled to the processing circuit, and is arranged to display the processed frame.

Control method for magnifying display screen and associated display system

A scaler integrated circuit (IC) applicable to performing multi-picture processing in a display device includes multiple terminals, multiple Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) circuits and a control circuit. The control circuit receives a Multi-Stream Transport (MST) video stream from a video source through a first video input terminal, analyzes the MST video stream to generate a first Single Stream Transport (SST) video stream and a second SST video stream, sends the second SST video stream through a video output terminal to be a video output signal, and receives the video output signal through a second video input terminal, to allow the scaler IC to generate a combination picture according to the first SST video stream and the second SST video stream, for being displayed by a display output module within the display device.
