A bifacial light-harvesting dye-sensitized solar cell is provided and has: a first transparent substrate, a second transparent substrate, a working electrode, a first semiconductor layer, a second semiconductor layer, a third semiconductor layer, a counter electrode, a light-transmitting catalyst layer, and a liquid electrolyte. A photoelectric conversion efficiency of the dye-sensitized solar cell is improved by using a specific working electrode structure.

Bifacial light-harvesting dye-sensitized solar cell

An electrolyte for a dye-sensitized solar cell is disclosed. The electrolyte includes a solvent being one selected from a group consisting of gamma-butyrolactone (gBL), propylene carbonate (PC) and 3-methoxypropionitrile (MPN), and a polymer mixed with the solvent to form an electrolyte solution, wherein when the solvent is one of gBL and PC, the polymer is one selected from a group consisting of polyacrylonitrile (PAN), polyvinyl acetate (PVA), poly(acrylonitrile-co-vinyl acetate) (PAN-VA) and a combination thereof; and when the solvent is MPN, the polymer includes one of a mixture of poly(ethylene oxide (PEO) and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), and a mixture of PEO and polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA).

Electrolyte for dye-sensitized solar cell and method for preparing same

A method for changing conformation of globular proteins is provided. The method controls the concentration of the globular proteins and the adsorption time of the globular proteins from the aqueous solution to the air/liquid interface, so that the main conformation of the globular proteins in a protein monolayer can be changed into &#x3b2;-sheet or &#x3b1;-helix. Meanwhile, the protein monolayer having the conformation of &#x3b2;-sheet or &#x3b1;-helix can be vertically deposited and transferred onto a substrate for various applications according to needs. The present invention can change three-dimensional structures of biological molecules and remain original functions thereof without additionally using any physical/chemical treatment to change the conformation of the globular proteins.

Method for changing conformation of globular proteins

An electrolyte composition with a low gelling temperature is disclosed, which includes: an electrolyte gelator which is an acrylonitrile-based copolymer; and a liquid electrolyte containing a nitrile-based solvent. A method for manufacturing an electronic device using the aforesaid electrolyte composition is also disclosed.

A copolymeric gelator includes a minor monomeric unit; and a major acrylonitrile (AN) monomeric unit copolymerized with the minor monomeric unit to provide a copolymer that is soluble in a solvent comprised of 1,2-dimethyl-3-propylimidazolium iodide and 3-methoxypropionitrile. The major acrylonitrile (AN) monomeric units have good ionic conductivity and coordinating sites for lithium ions to be dissolved with a liquid-electrolytic solvent. The minor monomeric units may be selected among vinyl acetate, allyl acetate, styrene, acrylamide and a combination thereof. The gelator and a liquid-electrolytic solvent may be used to produce a gel electrolyte.
