A method by a wireless device includes determining a value of a Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) request field size. The wireless device receives downlink control information (DCI) from a network node. The DCI is received according to a format. The wireless device selects a SRS resource set based on the format of the DCI and the value of the SRS request field size.

Configuration of downlink control information formats

A method for use in a transmitter includes sending a transmission comprising a transport block (TB) comprising a plurality of code blocks (CBs) arranged in one or more code block groups (CBGs). Each code block group includes one or more code blocks and each code block includes a plurality of coded bits. The transmission is sent to a receiver configured to use multi-bit hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback per transport block. The method further includes receiving HARQ ACK or NACK feedback from the receiver one or more of the one or more code block groups of the transport block. The method further includes determining a number of code blocks or code block groups to send to the receiver in a retransmission based on at least the received HARQ ACK or NACK feedback.

According to some embodiments, a method of operation of a wireless transmitter in a wireless communication network comprises: encoding a set of information carrying data bits u of length K with a linear outer code to generate a set of outer parity bits p along with the data bits u; interleaving the set of outer parity bits p and the data bits u using a predetermined interleaving mapping function that depends on the number of data bits K and is operable to distribute some bits of the set of parity bits p in front of some data bits u; and encoding the interleaved bits using a Polar encoder to generate a set of encoded bits x. A wireless device is configured to receive control signaling from a radio network node. The control signaling configures an uplink grant or downlink assignment to periodically recur. The control signaling also configures a number of redundant transmissions of a transport block that are transmittable within a bundle of the configured uplink grant or downlink assignment, where the number is greater than or equal to one.
