A charging control apparatus, a method, and a system are disclosed. When a user equipment (UE) accesses a service that charges an over the top (OTT) service (SP), the charging control apparatus receives flow description information from a policy charging enforcement function (PCEF), determines a service identifier corresponding to the data flow; and sends the service identifier to the PCEF, so that the PCEF charges for the service according to the service identifier. When the UE accesses the service, the PCEF may obtain the service identifier from the charging control apparatus. In this way, the PCEF can obtain the service identifier and the charging identifier that are corresponding to the data flow. Therefore, a configuration workload can be decreased.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a policy determining method and apparatus, and relate to the field of communications technologies. The method includes: obtaining transmission quality of a downlink data flow; and determining a quality of service policy for the downlink data flow according to the transmission quality of the downlink data flow, where the quality of service policy is used to adjust the transmission quality of the downlink data flow. In the technical solution of the embodiments of the present disclosure, the obtained transmission quality of the downlink data flow can reflect an actual network environment. Therefore, the quality of service policy can be determined according to the actual network environment, so that the transmission quality of the downlink data flow can be improved and user experience can be improved.

Policy determining method and apparatus

Embodiments of the present invention provide a capability negotiation method, system and apparatus, which are applied to the field of communications, and can improve the flexibility of capability negotiation. The capability negotiation method is applied to a base station, including: acquiring a gateway capability identifier, where the gateway capability identifier is a description of an end to end quality of service EtoE QoS control capability of a gateway; parsing the gateway capability identifier to obtain the EtoE QoS control capability of the gateway; and determining whether the EtoE QoS control capability of the gateway matches a local EtoE QoS control capability, so that when the EtoE QoS control capability of the gateway matches the local EtoE QoS control capability, EtoE QoS control is established.

Capability negotiation method, system and apparatus

A method, a device, and a system for controlling quality of service are provided. The method includes: obtaining, by a policy and charging enforcement function PCEF entity, a service flow priority identifier (FPI) of a downlink data packet, where the FPI is used to indicate a priority of a service flow to which the downlink data packet belongs; carrying, by the PCEF, the FPI in the downlink data packet; and sending, by the PCEF, the downlink data packet to a base station, so that the base station sends the downlink data packet to a user equipment UE according to the FPI. By adopting the method, the device, and the system according to the embodiments of the present invention, end-to-end differentiated processing of a service flow can be implemented, differentiated experiences can be provided for different levels of subscribers and different types of services.

The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for data configuration in a communication device, comprising the following steps of: a) the configuration data centralized unit filtering its internal data, so as to obtain the data to be configured for each configuration data distributed unit; b) the configuration data centralized unit sending said obtained data to each corresponding configuration data distributed unit; c) each configuration data distributed unit making the received data come into effect in it. An apparatus for data configuration of the present invention comprises a configuration data centralized unit and configuration data distributed units, wherein the configuration data centralized unit comprises a filtering sub-module, and one said configuration data distributed unit comprises an adaptation sub-module. During data configuration, the present invention utilizes filtering and adaptation, which leads to little modification to the existing systems and simple and flexible implementation, and significantly reduced redundant data volume for configuration.
