An example method of uniform resource locator (URL) redirection between a client device and a remote system executing a remote desktop accessed by the client device is described. The method includes intercepting, by an extension of a first web browser, a URL selected to be opened on the first web browser, the first web browser and the extension executing on a first system in communication with a second system, the first system and the second system being the client device and the remote system respectively or vice versa; forwarding, by the extension, the URL to a native process executing on the first system; determining, by the native process, an internet protocol (IP) address of the URL; forwarding the URL and the IP address to the second system; and opening, by the second system, the URL on a second web browser executing in the second system.

A system and method for saving and restoring snapshots of a client device connected to a virtual desktop are disclosed. When a client device makes a request to capture the state of the virtual desktop, the request is sent to a server if the client device and virtual desktop are authorized according to a policy. The request may also specify that the virtual desktop's memory contents be captured. The server forms the snapshot and saves the snapshot in storage. When a client device makes a request to restore the virtual desktop, the client selects one of the saved snapshots and restores the virtual desktop, including its memory, when the client device and desktop are authorized, and the snapshot has not exceeded its allowed time in storage according to the policy.

Systems and methods for remote display resource management can allow a remote display to be dynamically modified according to user eye movements. A user device can receive graphical data for a remote display and present the remote display on a local display. A remote display module (RD module) can detect dynamic content in the graphical data. The RD module can monitor eye movements of a user using an eye tracker device to determine when a user is not looking at the dynamic content. When a user looks away from the dynamic content for more than an allowed amount of time, the RD module can send instructions to a server to reduce the quality of the dynamic content in the remote display. The RD module can send instructions to restore the quality of the dynamic content after determining that the user is looking at the dynamic content.
