A three-dimensional display including a display and a micro-lens is provided. The display has a plurality of pixel units thereon, and each pixel unit has a pixel pitch i. The micro-lens is disposed at a side of the display, the micro-lens has a plurality of lens units thereon, and each lens unit has a lens pitch l. A right eye viewing zone and a left eye viewing zone are formed if an image displayed from the display passes though the micro-lens, wherein a distance between the center of the right eye viewing zone and the center of the left eye viewing zone is w, and lens pitch l satisfies: wis between 70 and 500 mm and i is between 0.1 and 500 &#x3bc;m.

A multi input and multi output (MIMO) sonic touch panel includes at least a sonic touch module and a display module. The sonic touch module includes a first carrier layer, a first vibrating layer and a first conducting layer. The first vibrating layer is disposed at the first carrier layer. The first conducting layer is disposed at the first carrier layer or the first vibrating layer and coupled with the first vibrating layer. The first conducting layer and the first vibrating layer are located at the same side or the opposite side of the first carrier layer. An optical compensation film includes an optical film and a retardation film. The optical film provides a plate retardation in the direction of thickness (Rth), while the retardation film is disposed on the optical film. The retardation film includes first retarders and second retarders, wherein the first retarders are disposed on at least partial areas of the optical film and provide a first planar retardation (Ro); the second retarders are disposed on partial areas of the optical film but outside the first retarders and provide a second planar retardation (Ro) and the first planar retardation (Ro) is different from the second planar retardation (Ro). The above-mentioned optical compensation film is capable of compensating the displays for different display areas in a liquid crystal display panel. In addition, the present invention also provides a fabricating method of optical compensation film.

Fabricating method of an optical compensation film

A method of forming transflective LCD panel includes forming a compensation material having reactive liquid crystal monomers, thermal initiators and a solvent on a first substrate. Then, a first heating process is performed on the compensation material to remove parts of the solvent and then a photo-polymerizing process is performed, and parts of the compensation material disposed in a reflective region are turned into birefringent zones. Moreover, a second heating process is performed, in which the first substrate is kept in a predetermined temperature for a predetermined time, and thereafter nitrogen gas flows in to the chamber to form a non-oxygen condition. Accordingly, parts of the compensation material disposed in a transmission region are turned into isotropic zones. The predetermined temperature of the second heating process is higher than the clearing point of the reactive liquid crystal monomers.

Method of forming transflective liquid crystal display panel

A pixel unit having a display area is provided. The pixel unit includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, and at least one ultraviolet light (UV) absorption pattern. The second substrate is disposed in parallel to the first substrate, and the liquid crystal layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The UV absorption pattern is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. A part of the display area overlaps the UV absorption pattern to define at least one first alignment area, while the part of the display area which does not overlap the UV absorption pattern defines at least one second alignment area. The liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal layer present different pre-tilt angles in the first alignment area and the second alignment area.

A three-dimension display suitable for a viewer wearing a pair of eyeglasses is disclosed. The eyeglasses have two circular polarized eyeglass lenses with different polarizations. The three-dimension display includes a flat display panel, a quarter-wave plate and a patterned half-wave plate. The flat display panel has a plurality of pixels arranged in an array, wherein the flat display panel is suitable to display a linear polarized image. The quarter-wave plate is disposed between the flat display panel and the eyeglasses. The patterned half-wave plate is disposed between the flat display panel and the eyeglasses, wherein the patterned half-wave plate corresponds to a part of the pixels. The present invention also provides a fabrication method of a three-dimension display.

Three-dimension display

An optical film of a display and a method for producing the same are provided. The display includes a light source and an optical film. The light source provides the first light. The optical film includes at least one coating layer. The coating layer has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The coating layer is adapted to absorb the first light from the first surface to excite a second light to emit through the second surface. The intensity of the second light is larger than that of the first light.

Optical film of a display, method for producing the same and said display

A manufacturing method of an optical film is provided. The method includes the following steps. A substrate is provided first and a surface of the substrate is aligned or an alignment layer is formed on the substrate. Next, a defined pattern layer is formed on the aligned surface of the substrate or on a surface of the alignment layer at a first temperature. A first liquid crystal layer is then coated on the aligned surface of the substrate or the surface of the alignment layer to cover the defined pattern layer. Then, a first curing step is performed at a second temperature to enable the defined pattern layer and the first liquid crystal layer to form the optical film. A portion of the optical film having the defined pattern layer is characterized by a different liquid crystal alignment property from the other portion of the optical film.
