A method for delineating an ore body of deep-sea polymetallic nodules based on coverage data includes steps as follows. Ore body data of the deep-sea polymetallic nodules is obtained, the ore body data includes: mining site production scale parameters, mining system parameters, and ore body geological characteristic parameters. A boundary coverage rate and a cumulative weighted average coverage rate are calculated based on the mining site production scale parameters, the mining system parameters, and the ore body geological characteristic parameters. The ore body is delineated, based on the boundary coverage and the cumulative weighted average coverage, through a principle of ore body boundary range delineation to obtain an ore body range. The method delineates ore body of nodule with proper geological continuity based on abundance data. It can be directly applied to deep-sea polymetallic nodule mining, solving the problems existing in the delineation of ore body of deep-sea polymetallic nodule.

Disclosed is a method for evaluating thicknesses of cobalt-rich crusts on seamounts, which comprises following steps: dividing a study area of cobalt-rich crusts into geological grid units, assigning crust thickness values to geological grid units; obtaining the crust thicknesses of the geological sampling stations in a preset influence range in the adjacent areas based on geological sampling station information; estimating the crust thicknesses in a certain distance range of the stations by a 'distance-slope' spatial interpolation method, and through a spatial similarity of a crusts spatial distribution caused by a relationship between the distance and the slope, assigning values to grid units outside adjacent areas and within an influence range of the spatial similarity relationship; assigning values to the geological grid units that failed to obtain crust thickness value through an expected assignment method, and obtaining the crust thicknesses of the study areas.

Method for evaluating thicknesses of cobalt-rich crusts on seamounts

A method and system for positioning and correcting visual data by seafloor topographic profiles are provided. The method includes: offsetting the water-depth profile of the target survey line equidistantly in a grid layer of a target area to make profiles generated after the offsetting traverse the grid layer of the target area, and obtaining offset data sequences corresponding to the water-depth profile of the target survey line; drawing offset topographic profiles based on offset data of the offset data sequences corresponding to the water-depth profile of the target survey line; calculating a profile similarity between the water-depth profile of the target survey line and each of the offset topographic profiles by using a dynamic time warping (DTW) algorithm; and selecting a geographic location of one of the offset topographic profiles with a largest profile similarity as an actual geographic location of a water-depth profile of a seafloor visual survey line.
