Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) to perform beam failure detection. The UE may establish communication with a base station. The UE may determine one or more beams to perform downlink communication from the base station. The UE may receive, from the base station, an indication of a first type of downlink reference signals to perform beam failure detection. The UE may perform signal quality measurements for the one or more beams using the first type of downlink reference signals. The UE may determine beam failure of at least one beam of the one or more beams based on said performing signal quality measurements.

The exemplary embodiments relate to determining that code block group (CBG) based transmissions are enabled, transmitting, via an unlicensed spectrum, configured grants comprising one or more CBG based transmissions and one or more transport block (TB) based transmissions and receiving a downlink feedback information (DFI) downlink control information (DCI) format, wherein the DFI DCI format comprises a hybrid automatic repeating request (HARQ) bitmap corresponding to the TB based transmissions and a HARQ bitmap corresponding to the CBG based transmissions. The exemplary embodiments may be implemented in a computer readable storage medium, a user equipment (UE) or an integrated circuit.

Configured grant based uplink transmissions in wireless communication

Aspects described herein relate to receiving control information activating periodic resources defined in a configuration for wireless communication, wherein the control information indicates resources for transmitting a control information response, and transmitting, to the second node and based on one or more power-related parameters of the first node, the control information response indicating a modification for one or more parameters related to the periodic resources. Other aspects relate to transmitting the control information and receiving the control information response.

Techniques for control information parameter modification in wireless communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first control signaling including scheduling information including one or more first resources in a time domain for the UE to transmit or receive a set of repetitions of a channel and one or more second resources in the time domain for the UE to transmit or receive a termination indication related to the set of repetitions. The UE may transmit or receive, during at least one resource of the first resources, at least one repetition of the set of repetitions. Following transmitting or receiving the repetition, the UE may transmit or receive, during the second resources, the termination indication prior to a termination of the one or more first resources. The termination indication may be based on successfully transmitting or receiving the at least one repetition of the set of repetitions.

An indication that a wireless device supports multiple discontinuous reception configurations for carrier aggregation operation may be provided by the wireless device to a cellular base station. The configuration information may include separate discontinuous reception configurations for each of multiple cell groups.

This disclosure relates to techniques for determining a quasi-co-located assumption for aperiodic channel state information reference signals for multi-transmission-reception-point operation in a wireless communication system. A wireless device may establish wireless links with multiple transmission-reception-points of a cellular network. The wireless device may receive downlink control information. The wireless device may determine a quasi-co-located assumption for aperiodic channel state information reference signals for the downlink control information. Signals received according to the quasi-co-located assumption for aperiodic channel state information reference signals may be buffered by the wireless device if a scheduling offset for the downlink control information is below a scheduling offset threshold.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a grant scheduling repetition-based system information block transmissions for the UE, the grant indicating a mapping configuration identifying time-frequency resources for a second repetition of a system information block transmission relative to a first repetition of the system information block transmission. The UE may receive, in a first subset bandwidth of a system bandwidth, the first repetition of the system information block transmission according to the grant. The UE may receive, in a second subset bandwidth of the system bandwidth, the second repetition of the system information block transmission according to the grant and based at least in part on the mapping configuration.

System information transmission with coverage recovery

A wireless network may include a base station and user equipment (UE). The UE may transmit uplink (UL) signals to the base station using a dynamically adjustable maximum UL duty cycle. When the UE identifies that a user is in proximity to the UE, the UE may transmit an indicator to the base station. The indicator may identify that a radio-frequency exposure (RFE) event has occurred and/or a suggested maximum UL duty cycle that would allow the UE to satisfy limits on RFE. The base station may limit a UL grant to the UE so that the UE performs subsequent communications using the suggested maximum UL duty cycle or a different maximum UL duty cycle. Coordinating adjustment of UL duty cycle in this way may allow the UE to meet limits on RFE without requiring the UE to perform maximum transmit power level reductions.

Systems and methods for controlling radio-frequency exposure

A method for operating user equipment (UE) includes generating, by the UE, a transmit precoding matrix indicator (TPMI) list including one or more TPMIs selected from a set of available TPMIs stored at a base station (BS). Data indicative of the TPMI list is transmitted to the BS. An index of the TPMI list is transmitted to the BS. Downlink control information (DCI) is received from the BS including an indication of at least one TPMI from the TPMI list based on the index. Uplink data is transmitted to the BS on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) using the at least one TPMI.

Full power uplink transmission enhancement

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a wireless device and a cellular base station to support common analog beam steering for band groups. The wireless device may provide an indication of analog beam steering capability of the wireless device to the cellular base station. For example, the wireless device may support a limited number of analog beams for each of one or more band groups. The cellular base station may select beam configuration information for the wireless device based at least in part on the indication of analog beam steering capability of the wireless device. This may include selecting a common beam for multiple component carriers for the wireless device based on the wireless device's analog beam steering capability. The cellular base station may provide the beam configuration information to the wireless device.

Common analog beam steering for band groups

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for providing downlink control for non-coherent joint transmission. A cellular base station may provide downlink control information associated with a non-coherent joint transmission downlink data communication to a wireless device, which may receive the downlink control information. The downlink control information may be provided as a single downlink control information including scheduling information for two data streams of the non-coherent joint transmission data communication, or a portion of a multi-stage downlink control information transmission. The wireless device may receive the non-coherent joint transmission downlink data communication based at least in part on the downlink control information.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration indicating a grid of traffic arrival times that includes a plurality of grids associated with respective time intervals. The UE may receive an indication to skip PDCCH monitoring based at least in part on monitoring the PDCCH during the first time interval. The UE may monitor the PDCCH during a second time interval associated with a second grid, of the plurality of grids. The UE may not monitor the PDCCH until a start of the second time interval based at least in part on the indication to skip the PDCCH monitoring. Numerous other aspects are described.

To extend a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) in wireless communications, an extended physical broadcast channel (EPBCH) transmission is generated with one or more legacy PBCH blocks and one or more EPBCH blocks within an extension window. A size of the extension window is determined based at least in part on a PBCH repetition number and a number of the legacy PBCH blocks relative to a number of the EPBCH blocks. The EPBCH transmission is transmitted by a base station (BS) to one or more user equipment (UE).
