There is provided a signalling method for use in an advanced wireless communication network () that supports a first duplex mode, a second duplex mode different to the first duplex mode, and carrier aggregation of the first second duplex modes. This method includes configuring a UE (-) for data communication with the network () through a first access node () as a PCell, on the first duplex mode and with a first transmission mode (TM) including one or more transport blocks (TBs). This method also includes configuring the UE (-) for data communication with the network () through a second access node () as a SCell, on the second duplex mode and with a second TM including one or more TBs. The second TM associated with the second access node () is configured independently of the first TM associated with the first access node ().

Methods for inter-system carrier aggregation in advanced wireless communication systems

A method is disclosed for PHICH resource allocation in a wireless communication system that supports flexible TDD UL-DL configuration and in which different TDD UL-DL configurations are available and the TDD UL-DL configuration used by first UEs which operate according to the flexible TDD configuration can be different to the TDD UL-DL configuration used by second UEs which operate according to a long term TDD UL-DL configuration. The method comprising allocating a PHICH resource for both first UEs and second UEs according to LTE timing rules applicable to the TDD UL-DL configuration in use by second UEs.

Method for PHICH resource allocation

A signalling method is disclosed for use in an advanced wireless communication network that supports FDD-TDD carrier aggregation (CA). Methods and apparatus relating to LTE FDD-TDD inter-system carrier aggregation in advanced wireless communication systems

According to an exemplary embodiment, a control signalling method in a wireless communications system for reducing false positives, the method comprising: lengthening cyclic redundancy check (CRC) information by assigning at least one predetermined value to at least one downlink control information (DCI) field. As a result, it is possible to reduce the probability of false positive.

The method includes configuring a first type of user equipment (UE) with a first type of configuration; configuring a second type of UE with a second type of configuration; and receiving from a user equipment a HARQ-ACK (hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement) signal according to a DL association set. The DL association set includes: a first DL association set for a UL-DL TDD configuration used by the first type of UE; and a second DL association set for a reference UL-DL TDD configuration including a third DL association set for PUCCH resource mapping used by the second type of UE.

There is provided methods for use in control signaling in advanced wireless communication systems that support flexible allocation of TDD UL-DL configurations. Where HARQ-ACK bundling is used, PDCCH/EPDCCH transmissions indicating DL SPS release and PDSCH transmissions with corresponding PDCCH/EPDCCH are scheduled only on DL and/or special subframes in a DL association set which are not after the subframe in the DL association set carrying an UL grant. Where HARQ-ACK multiplexing is used, the value of the DL assignment index (V) is set to the number of subframes in the DL association set. Cross-subframe scheduling is also used.
