Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may select a maximum supported rank for reception that is capped based at least in part on one or more impacted antennas of the UE that are unavailable due to sounding reference signal (SRS) switching that switched at least one antenna of the UE. The UE may transmit an indication of the maximum supported rank. The UE may receive a selected rank that is no greater than the maximum supported rank. The UE may receive, from one or more non-impacted antennas of the UE, a communication using the selected rank. Numerous other aspects are described, such as downlink blanking, desensing parameters, canceling SRS switching, and uplink blanking for impacted antennas.

Sounding reference signal switching impact mitigation

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method for wireless communications by a wireless device. The wireless device evaluates a plurality of antenna group combinations based on one or more criteria wherein each antenna group combination includes at least two antenna groups of multiple antennas and the one or more criteria involve a first performance value calculated separately for each antenna group in an antenna group combination under evaluation and a second performance value calculated collectively for the at least two antenna groups in the antenna group combination under evaluation. The wireless device selects a subset of the plurality of antenna group combinations, based on the evaluation.

Antenna grouping for multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) systems

Wireless communications systems and methods related to the timing arrangements and the transmission gap configurations in 2-step random access channel (RACH) procedures to improve system latency and reliability of a RACH HARQ process are provided. The UE transmits a first message including a random access preamble and a payload, and then monitors for a second message in response to the first message during a random access response (RAR) window. In response to determining that no second message is received by the UE from the BS or a back off indicator is received within the RAR window, the UE re-transmits the preamble and payload of the first message after the RAR window lapses. In response to determining if the second message received within the RAR window carries a FallbackRAR or SuccessRAR, the UE then determines to re-transmit the payload of the first message based on the FallbackRAR, or to transmit an acknowledgement message based on the SuccessRAR.

Systems and methods for latency reduction for 2-step random access channel (RACH) hybrid automatic repeat requests (HARQ)

Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to jamming detection for radio frequency (RF) front-end circuitry. For example, certain aspects provide an apparatus having a first counter configured to count a number of times that a power of a reception signal exceeds a first threshold. The apparatus also includes a second counter configured to count a number of measurements of the power of the reception signal. The apparatus further includes control logic having a first input coupled to an output of the first counter and having a second input coupled to an output of the second counter. The control logic is configured to determine an amount of jamming over a measurement window based on the number of times that the power of the reception signal exceeds the first threshold and on the number of measurements.

A method for wireless communication at a wireless device is disclosed herein. The method includes selecting a wideband precoder for a first set of antennas and a second set of antennas based on at least one matrix, where a number of the first set of antennas and the second set of antennas is greater than a maximum number of supported layers. The method includes calculating, based on the selected wideband precoder, a first set of performance metrics for the first set of antennas and a second set of performance metrics for the second set of antennas. The method includes combining the first set of performance metrics for the first set of antennas and the second set of performance metrics for the second set of antennas based on the calculation.

An example method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station, one or more configurations indicating wireless communication resources including at least one of a plurality of bandwidth parts (BWP) or a plurality of component carriers (CCs); receiving, from the base station, control signaling indicating a scheduling offset to communicate with the base station via at last one of the BWPs within at least one of the CCs; determining a value of the scheduling offset based at least in part on a minimum scheduling offset value; and taking at least one action in response to the determination.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a wireless user equipment (UE) establishing and utilizing a reference timing for a carrier or cell with multiple transmission and reception points (TRPs). A UE may receive a downlink signal on each of a plurality of component carriers (CCs), and determine respective timing events (e.g., slot boundaries, subframe boundaries, etc.) corresponding to each of the plurality of CCs. The UE may then determine a reference time for a first CC of the plurality of CCs. This reference time corresponds to a function of two or more timing events corresponding to different TRPs utilizing the first CC. The UE then determines a relative timing difference between the plurality of CCs based on this determined reference time. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described, including determining and utilizing a reference time on an uplink CC.

Reference timing for multiple transmission and reception points in multi-radio dual connectivity

In some aspects, a user equipment may receive configuration information that indicates a transmission parameter associated with a random access response (RAR) type; transmit a random access message associated with the RAR type; use the transmission parameter to obtain a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) communication that schedules a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) communication that includes a RAR in a medium access control protocol data unit of the PDSCH communication; and obtain or refraining from obtaining the PDSCH communication based at least in part on whether the PDCCH communication is successfully obtained using the transmission parameter. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of at least one of a first interleaving mode for mapping codeblocks to a data channel or a second interleaving mode for reporting channel state information (CSI). The UE may map codeblocks to the data channel based at least in part on the first interleaving mode. The UE may report CSI based at least in part on the second interleaving mode. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, on a first carrier having a first subcarrier spacing (SCS), a scheduling indication via a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling a downlink transmission on a second carrier having a second SCS. The UE may process the downlink transmission on the second carrier based at least in part on a delay between the PDCCH and the scheduled downlink transmission and a timing threshold having a basic term and an adjustment term. For example, the basic term may be based at least in part on a minimum delay between the PDCCH and the scheduled downlink transmission, and the adjustment term may be based at least in part on a processing time due to a difference between the first SCS and the second SCS.
