The method includes: determining Nfirst-type nodes from N nodes included in a first network topology, where the N nodes include the Nfirst-type nodes and Nsecond-type nodes, and the first-type node supports SRv6; determining a second network topology corresponding to the first network topology, where the second network topology includes the Nfirst-type nodes but does not include the Nsecond-type nodes, and the target topology structure includes M first-type target paths; determining transmission overheads of the M first-type target paths, where a transmission overhead of an ifirst-type target path is a smallest value of transmission overheads of a Kpaths; and performing path computation based on the transmission overheads of the M first-type target paths and the second network topology.

A BGP monitoring protocol (BMP) module of the network device acquires the enabled BGP capability by using a BGP message. The present invention discloses a forward entry generating method, a forward node, and a controller. The method includes: receiving, by a first forward node, MPLS forwarding path information, which is sent by a controller, of a MPLS forwarding path, where the MPLS forwarding path information includes: ingress node information, transit node information, and egress node information; sending the MPLS forwarding path information to a third forward node; and generating an MPLS forward entry of the first forward node according to the MPLS forwarding path information. According to the method, the forward node, and the controller in embodiments of the present invention, it can be avoided that the controller sends, in a point-to-point manner, MPLS forward entries to all forward nodes that an MPLS forwarding path passes through, thereby effectively improving efficiency of generating an MPLS forward entry and reducing occupation of outbound bandwidth of the controller.

According to the present invention, not only an OAM configuration procedure is simplified and manpower is saved, but also consistency of OAM configuration at two ends can be ensured.
