This disclosure describes methods, apparatus, and systems related to non-contiguous channel bonding. A device may determine a wireless communication channel having one or more subchannels in accordance with one or more communication standards. The device may determine instructions to perform one or more clear channel assessments (CCAs) on at least one of the one or more subchannels. The device may cause to send the instructions to one or more first devices. The device may identify a frame received from at least one of the one or more first devices, wherein the frame is received on at least one available subchannel of the one or more subchannels.

Non-contiguous channel bonding

Various embodiments are generally directed to improved channel quality information feedback techniques. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus for a base station is provided that includes a radio interface and a processor coupled to the radio interface. The processor is configured to receive a channel quality indicator (CQI) index, wherein the CQI index is based on a channel state information (CSI) reference resource, further wherein a first three orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols of the CSI reference resource are occupied by control signals, select a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) based on the CQI index, and cause transmission of the PDSCH based on the selected MCS via the radio interface. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Channel quality information feedback techniques

The first circuitry may be operable to establish a first UE Receive (Rx) beam as being for reception of data from a first eNB. The second circuitry may be operable to process a transmission including Downlink Control Information (DCI), wherein the DCI carries an eNB cell-switching indicator. The first circuitry may also be operable to establish a second UE Rx beam as being for reception of data from a second eNB based on the eNB cell-switching indicator.

Beamforming for dynamic cell switching

Various embodiments include an apparatus to be employed by an enhanced Node B (eNB), the apparatus comprising communication circuitry to receive, from a user equipment (UE), feedback information and control circuitry, coupled with the communication circuitry, to identify a codeword from a three-dimensional codebook based on the feedback information received from the UE, wherein the communication circuitry is further to precode data to be transmitted to the UE based on the codeword. Codebook for full-dimension multiple input multiple output communications

Disclosed herein are apparatuses, systems, and methods using or implementing dynamic beamforming in control channels, by transmitting downlink control channels to user equipment (UEs) in a number of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols of a downlink subframe. A first OFDM symbol of the number of OFDM symbols can be transmitted using first beamforming parameters in a first direction, and a second OFDM symbol of the number of OFDM symbols can be transmitted using second beamforming parameters different from the first beamforming parameters and in a second direction different from the first direction. The number of OFDM symbols used, as well as other parameters, can be dynamically adjusted in subsequent subframes. Other embodiments are described.

Dynamically beamformed control channel for beamformed cells

User equipment (UE), an enhanced NodeB (eNB) and method of improving positioning accuracy and enabling vertical domain positioning of the UE are generally described. The UE may receive a prsInfo control signal having at least one PRS configuration and subsequently a plurality of Reference Signals (RSs). The RSs may have a first Positioning Reference Signal (PRS) pattern in a first set of PRS subframes and a second PRS pattern in a second set of PRS subframes received prior to a subsequent first set of PRS subframes. The RSs may have a vertical positioning RS and a lateral positioning RS. The UE may measure PRS resource elements (REs), each having a PRS, in the first and second PRS pattern. The UE may transmit a measurement of the PRS in the first and second PRS pattern. The patterns may enable horizontal and vertical positioning to be determined.

Device and method to improve horizontal and vertical positioning accuracy

Apparatus, systems, and methods to implement receive beamforming in communication systems are described. In one example, apparatus of an evolved Node B (eNB) comprising processing circuitry to receive, from a user equipment (UE), a beamforming reference signal received power (BRS-RP) measurement and in response to the BRS-RP measurement, configure a downlink (DL) transmit (Tx) beamforming and a receiving (Rx) beamforming process on the UE. A 5G-TSN resource joint scheduling apparatus includes: a state information acquisition module, a scheduling decision making module, and a configuration module. The state information acquisition module is configured to acquire bottom-layer network information, and process the acquired bottom-layer network information to obtain state information, the bottom-layer network information includes channel information, gate control list information of a TSN domain, and queue information in a base station. The scheduling decision making module is configured to obtain a result of decision making based on the state information output by the state information acquisition module using a DDPG-based reinforcement learning model, the result of decision making includes whether to allocate resources for a current queue and a number of resources actually allocated to the current queue. The configuration module is configured to convert the result of decision making to one or more instructions understandable by the base station to configure the base station.

5G-TSN resource joint scheduling apparatus and method based on DDPG

The present disclosure relates to computer-implemented systems and methods for facilitating simultaneous poll responses. A method may include assigning respective subsets of subcarrier frequencies to a plurality of user devices for communication over a wireless channel. The method may also include transmitting, simultaneously, a channel status request poll to the user devices. Additionally, the method may include determining, based at least in part on a first channel status response received via a first subset of subcarrier frequencies over the wireless channel, that the first channel status response is received from the first user device. Similarly, the method may also include determining a second channel status response is received from a second user device. Furthermore, the method may include determining, based at least in part on the first channel status response and the second channel status response, to schedule simultaneous data communication for the first device and the second device.

Systems and methods for facilitating simultaneous poll responses

Methods and apparatus are described for transmitting uplink control information (UCI) over an OFDMA-based uplink. In some embodiments, UCI symbols are mapped to resource elements (REs) in the time/frequency resource grid to maximize frequency diversity. In some embodiments, UCI is mapped in a manner that takes into account channel estimation performance by mapping UCI symbols to those REs that are closest (in terms of OFDM subcarriers/symbols) to REs that carry reference signals.
