A computer implemented method using an artificial intelligence (A.I.) module to explain large scale scheduling solutions includes receiving an original instance of a resource constrained scheduling problem. The instance includes a set of tasks and a variety of resource requirements and a variety of constraints. An optimizer process determines a schedule for the set of tasks while minimizing a makespan of the schedule. A minimal set of resource links is generated based on resource dependencies between tasks. The resource links are added to the original instance of scheduling problem, as precedence constraints. All the resource constraints are removed from the original instance of the resource constrained scheduling problem. A set of critical tasks is computed using a non-resource constrained critical path. Schedules are provided with an explanation of an optimized order of the set of tasks based on the use of the non-resource constrained critical path.

Optimizer agnostic explanation system for large scale schedules

A query string for an encrypted database storing a plurality of encrypted data records is received from a requestor. The query string is segmented to obtain at least one word. The at least one word is encrypted with the irreversible encryption algorithm to obtain at least one encrypted word. At least one first encrypted item with a co-occurrence weight higher than a preset threshold based on the at least one encrypted word and a co-occurrence statistics model is acquired. The co-occurrence statistics model is built to provide co-occurrence weights, each indicating a probability that the at least one encrypted word appears in a first encrypted data item of the plurality of encrypted data records. At least one second encrypted data item corresponding to the at least one first encrypted data item is acquired from the plurality of encrypted data records.

According to the method, a deprovision request for deprovisioning a target service instance provisioned in a computing environment is received. In response to the deprovision request, a retention policy associated with the target service instance is determined. The retention policy indicates an action to be applied on the target service instance. The action causes a resource usage level of the target service instance to reduce. Based on the retention policy, the target service instance is modified to obtain a retention service instance provisioned in the computing environment for use in restoration of the target service instance.

A facility is provided for automatically updating a version of a base image included within an application container of a container-based processing environment. The facility includes providing an application container having an associated configuration file with automatic update specified in connection with a referenced based image. The application container includes an existing version of the referenced base image. Availability of an updated version of the base image with the container-based processing environment is identified, and based on identifying availability of the updated version of the base image, the application container is automatically updated to an updated container, which includes the updated version of the base image.
