A non-contact fiber permeability measurement system includes a mold device, a fluid supplying device, a capacitance detecting device and a permeability converting device. The mold device includes an upper plate, a lower plate and a fluid inlet. The lower plate is parallel to and disposed below the upper plate for forming an accommodating space disposing a measured fibrous fabric insulated against the upper plate and the lower plate. The fluid inlet is disposed through the upper plate. The fluid supplying device is connected to the mold device and for providing a fluid perfused from the fluid inlet into the accommodating space. The capacitance detecting device is electrically connected to the upper plate and the lower plate. The permeability converting device is electrically connected to the capacitance detecting device and for receiving the capacitance detected via the capacitance detecting device to convert the capacitance to a permeability.

Non-contact fiber permeability measurement system and method thereof

The present disclosure provides a measurement method for a molding system comprising an upper mold and a lower mold forming a mold cavity. The method includes applying a pressure difference to a molding resin for driving the molding resin to flow into a preform in the mold cavity; detecting a flow front of the molding resin at a first position and a second position in the mold cavity; and calculating a flowing property of the molding resin based on the first position, the second position, a travelling time of the flow front from the first position to the second position, and the pressure difference.

A method of real-time prognosis of a flooding phenomenon in a packed column includes steps as follows. An online data collection step is conducted, wherein a plurality of values of the pressure drop are collected from the packed column under operation. A calculation step is conducted, wherein the values of the pressure drop are used to calculate a plurality of values of a steadiness index. A statistical step is conducted, wherein a value of a monitoring statistic is calculated based on the values of the steadiness index. A control step is conducted, wherein the value of the monitoring statistic is compared to a control limit, and an alarm is triggered when the value of the monitoring statistic is greater than the control limit.

Method of real-time prognosis of flooding phenomenon in packed column

A method of real-time prognosis of a flooding phenomenon in a packed column includes steps as follows. An online data collection step is conducted, wherein a plurality of values of a pressure drop are collected from the packed column under operation. A detrending step is conducted to obtain a plurality of values of a detrended pressure drop. A fitting step is conducted, wherein the values of the detrended pressure drop are fitted with an EGARCH(p, q) model to obtain a value of at least one of model coefficients. A repeat step is conducted to obtain another value of the at least one of model coefficients. A statistical step is conducted, wherein a value of the monitoring statistic is calculated. A control step is conducted, wherein the value of the monitoring statistic is compared to a control limit.

The present invention is a method for real-time controlling a resin transfer molding process, which is used to control a filling pressure of a resin in a resin transfer molding (RTM) apparatus. In a pre-control RTM process, the current filling pressure, the current permeability and the wave front position at the current time point is input into a prediction-control model to acquire a predicted filling pressure at the next time point. The predicted filling pressure is used as the filling pressure to make the resin flow to the expected position of the wave front at the next time point, whereby to achieve stable quality of RTM products.
