A catalyst structure is provided. The catalyst structure includes a porous carrier and a plurality of layered hydroxides. The porous carrier includes a nitrogen-doped carbon framework, a plurality of metal oxide particles and a plurality of carbon nanotubes. The nitrogen-doped carbon framework has a plurality of pores. The metal oxide particles are uniformly dispersed in the pores of the nitrogen-doped carbon framework. The carbon nanotubes are located on a surface of the nitrogen-doped carbon framework, and one end of each of the carbon nanotubes is connected to the surface of the nitrogen-doped carbon framework. The layered hydroxides are coated on the surface of the nitrogen-doped carbon framework.

Catalyst structure and electrochemical device

This present invention provides a microporous carbon nanospheres, method for synthesizing and activating thereof, the method comprising: adding and mixing well deionized water, absolute ethanol, triblock copolymer, ammonia solution, resorcinol and formaldehyde solution; separating solid and liquid of the mixture solution, then drying the separated solid substrate to have a dried solid substrate; sintering the dried solid substrate surrounding by nitrogen twice and collecting microporous carbon nanospheres after cooling down. Further sintering to activate these microporous carbon nanospheres surrounding by carbon dioxide, and collecting activated microporous carbon nanospheres after cooling down. Microporous carbon nanospheres and activated microporous carbon nanospheres synthesized by this present invention have spherical structure, small size and high the specific surface area, and the process is simplified, cost-effective and environment-friendly.

The present invention relates to an urchin-like iron oxide and a method for producing the urchin-like iron oxide. The urchin-like iron oxide comprises a core and multiple needle-like elongations protruded from the core. The needle-like elongations could be wire, rod, tube, cone, and flake. The length/width ratio of the needle-like elongation is high enough to apply in an optoelectronic field. The method in accordance with the present invention is to stably heat an iron-contained powder under room temperature by a thermal oxidation. The surface of the iron-contained powder is slow oxidized to form an urchin-like iron oxide with multiple uniform distributed needle-like elongations protruded from the surface. The size of each needle-like elongation is easily adjusted and changed by controlling the heating temperature. The method has advantages of simplified operation and lowered expense.

A triode-type field emission device and method of manufacturing the same, suitable for use in screen print process of curved or planar substrate, comprising the following steps: firstly, form a cathode and a gate on a cathode substrate at the same time by means of screen printing, and a gap is located between gate and cathode, to avoid short circuit or interference; next, form a hedgehog-shape field emission layer on at least said cathode; then, form a transparent conductive layer and a light emitting layer sequentially on an anode substrate; and finally, dispose cathode substrate and anode substrate in parallel and spaced apart, and package them into a triode-type field emission device. Bias of cathode and gate can be controlled to achieve local adjustment of light. Also, gate may serve as an emitter, to increase field emission efficiency and its service life.

Triode-type field emission device and method of manufacturing the same

An urchin-like copper oxide material manufacturing method, comprising following steps: providing copper powder of length about 5 to 150 &#x3bc;m; placing the copper powder on an aluminum oxide plate to be heated up; and heating up the aluminum oxide plate in a reaction temperature of 300&#xb0; C. to 700&#xb0; C., to obtain urchin-like copper oxide material on the aluminum oxide plate. By employing the manufacturing method, it only requires a simple thermal oxidation process to synthesize and obtain various types of urchin-like copper oxides having good stability and reproducibility, hereby achieving excellent performance in various opto-electronic applications.

A double-sided light-emitting field emission device and method of manufacturing same, said device comprising at least two transparent conductive layers, mixed field emission layers, and transparent package device. Wherein, the mixed field emission layer of field emission source and phosphor are utilized directly to serve as anode and cathode alternatively, such that on applying an AC power supply, roles of anode and cathode are changed alternatively along with frequency, hereby forming double-sided light-emitting structure. Therefore, the applications of said double-sided light-emitting field emission device are pretty wide, and having advantages of protecting field emission source, activating field emission source, reducing field emission arcing effect, having conductive phosphor, and raising illumination.

A method for producing carbon nanotubes uses a polymer as a raw material to undergo in situ thermal decomposition. The method includes steps of mixing the polymer and metallic catalyst through a multiple heating stage process of in-situ thermal decomposition to carbonize the polymer and release carbon elements to produce carbon nanotubes. Advantages of the present invention include easy to prepare, low temperature in manipulation, low production cost, and high safety.

Method for producing carbon nanotube

An inorganic phosphor and a method for manufacturing the same are proposed. The sol-gel method is used and the elements vanadium and sulfate are added to synthesize a red-emission gadolinium titanium oxide phosphor doped with Eu, V and S to change the original red/orange-emission property and enhance the red-emission intensity. Moreover, the elements vanadium and sulfate replace the rare-earth Euelement as active sites to obtain a white-emission gadolinium titanium oxide phosphor doped with V and S. Using this single-kind phosphor, white light can be emitted under the excitation of violet light without the need of mixing multiple colors.
