Mechanisms may be used for aggregating acknowledgement (ACK), block ACK (BA) and/or short packets transmissions for multi-user (MU) wireless communication systems. Aggregation mechanisms may be used for uplink (UL) and/or downlink (DL) orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA), and/or UL/DL multiple-user multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) transmissions, for example. Multi-user short packets may be aggregated and/or simultaneously transmitted for DL, UL, or peer-to-peer (P2P) transmissions.

An access point (AP) may determine that a basic service set (BSS) color of an overlapping BSS (OBSS) associated with a neighboring AP is a same color as a BSS color of the AP. A BSS color change announcement message may be generated having BSS color information and a color switching time. The BSS color information may indicate a BSS color for the AP and the color switching time may indicate a time until the AP switches to the BSS color.

A beamformed reference signal may be transmitted to a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU). A beam measurement report may be received from the WTRU. The beam measurement report may include a beam modulation mode recommendation and/or a carrier modulation mode recommendation. A beam modulation mode and/or a carrier modulation mode may be determined based on a mode recommendation. A beam modulation mode and/or a carrier modulation mode may indicate a manner of transmitting same information on multiple beams.

Methods, systems, and apparatuses are disclosed for transmitting a plurality of bits to an access point (AP) and receiving constellation symbol from the AP. A constellation symbol may include a plurality of indications of bits.
