A manufacturing method of pixel structure includes: sequentially forming a gate, a gate insulation layer, a semiconductor layer and a conductive layer on a substrate; forming a first patterned photoresist layer including multiple first photoresist blocks and multiple second photoresist blocks on the conductive layer; reducing the thickness of the first patterned photoresist layer until the second photoresist blocks are completely removed; forming a pixel electrode layer and a second photoresist layer on a partial pixel electrode layer; removing a part of the pixel electrode layer exposed by the second photoresist layer, a partial conductive layer and a partial semiconductor layer both under the removed pixel electrode layer to define a first electrode block, a second electrode block and a channel region; removing the remained first patterned photoresist layer and second photoresist layer and forming a protective layer and a common electrode layer on a part of the protective layer.

Pixel structure and manufacturing method thereof

A display panel is provided. A plurality of first shift registers of the display panel output a plurality of first scanning signals in sequence. A plurality of second shift registers of the display panel output a plurality of second scanning signals in sequence. The jfirst shift registers stops outputting the jfirst scanning signal according to the jsecond scanning signal, wherein j is a positive integer. The jsecond shift registers stops outputting the jscanning signal according to the (j+1)first scanning signal. Therefore, two scanning signals neighboring in clocking sequence are avoided from overlapping.

Display panel

A display panel including a number of data lines and scan lines, a number of first, second, and third switches, and a number of first, second, and third pixels is provided. Each first pixel located at an odd position at a first side of each data line is electrically connected to the corresponding data line through one first switch. Each second pixel located at an even position at the first side of each data line is electrically connected to the corresponding data line through the first, second, and third switches sequentially connected in series. Each third pixel located at a second side of each data line is electrically connected to the corresponding data line through the second and third switches sequentially connected in series. The first, second and third pixels are driven by corresponding scan lines and data lines. A driving method of the display panel is also provided.

Display panel having a plurality of switches utilized for controlling the timing of turning on a single pixel and driving method thereof

A display apparatus and the driving method thereof are provided. The display apparatus includes a display panel and a gate driver electrically connected to the display panel. The display panel has N scan units. Here, N is a positive integer, and each of the scan units has a first scan line and a second scan line. The gate driver provides N gate control signals to the scan units. The i-th gate control signal corresponds to the i-th scan unit, and i is less than N. When the i-th gate control signal and the (i+1)-th gate control signal are simultaneously enabled, the pixel elements corresponding to the first scan line and the second scan line of the i-th scan unit are simultaneously scanned. When the i-th gate control signal is enabled, the pixel elements corresponding to the first scan line of the i-th scan unit are scanned.

Display apparatus and driving method for display panel

An active device array substrate includes a number of scan lines, a number of data lines perpendicular to the scan lines, and a number of pixel regions. Each of the pixel regions includes a number of pixel sets arranged along a direction of the data lines. Each of the pixel sets has a number of adjacent pixels arranged along the direction of the data lines. The pixels in each of the pixel sets are electrically connected to the same data line. Each of the scan lines is separately arranged between the pixels. The data lines corresponding to the same pixel region are adjacent to one another and arranged at the same side of the pixel region.

A gate driving circuit capable of suppressing threshold voltage drift is disclosed for providing gate signals forwarded to gate lines. The gate driving circuit includes a plurality of shift register stages. Each shift register stage includes a pull-up unit, an energy-store unit, a buffer unit, a discharging unit, a pull-down unit, a control unit and a signal switching unit. The pull-up unit pulls up a gate signal according to a driving control voltage and a first clock. The energy-store unit provides the driving control voltage through performing a charging process based on an input signal received by the buffer unit. The pull-down unit pulls down the gate signal according to a control signal. The control unit generates the control signal based on the input signal and a second clock having a phase opposite to the first clock. The signal switching unit switches the control signal according to the first clock.

Gate driving circuit capable of suppressing threshold voltage drift

A display panel, a display apparatus and the driving method thereof are provided. The gate control signals can interactively control more number of scan lines by disposing corresponding switches between the adjacent scan lines in the display panel, wherein every two scan lines correspond to a gate control signal, so as to reduce the number of the gate driving ICs and the layout space required by the fan out area in the display panel.

Display panel, display apparatus and driving method thereof

The pixel structure and the repairing method of the TFT array substrate are provided. The pixel has a semiconductor electrode which is partially overlapped with a floating metal located in the first conductive layer. Both the data line and the drain electrode have protruded regions partially overlapped with the semiconductor electrode and the floating metal. Once the pixel is found to be a white defect, a laser beam is used to irradiate the protruded region of the data line to electrically connect the data line and the floating metal and so as to form a diode structure having the rectified effect. Consequently, after the laser repair, the pixel defect will display as the non-flicked white point and black point in the white-picture inspection and the black-picture inspection respectively.

Pixel structure and repairing method thereof

A pixel structure including a scan line, a gate pattern, a first dielectric layer, a channel layer, a source, a drain, a data line, a second dielectric layer and a pixel electrode is provided. The gate pattern is electrically connected with the scan line and has an opening therein. The first dielectric layer covers the scan line and the gate pattern and it fills up the opening. Besides, the channel layer is disposed on the first dielectric layer, and the source and the drain are disposed on the channel layer. The drain is disposed above the opening of the gate pattern. The source is electrically connected with the data line, and the pixel electrode is electrically connected with the drain. The overlapping area between the gate pattern that has an opening and the drain can be kept so that the gate-drain capacitor (Cgd) is not changed.
