An automatically retractable knife that includes an actuator, a blade carrier, two springs, a pawl and a blade. The knife is configured with a safety feature to ensure that the knife blade is automatically retractable upon completion of cutting a surface.

A sanding device includes a base, a plurality of protrusions extending from the base, a plurality of fasteners, a first one of the fasteners extending through the base, a clamping mechanism having openings through which the protrusions and the first one of the fasteners extend, and a spring arranged over the first one of the fasteners, between the base and the clamping mechanism. The clamping mechanism is releasably fixed in contact with the base in a first state and the clamping mechanism is spaced from the base in a second state while retained with respect to the base by at least a pair of the plurality of protrusions extending from the base to substantially prevent axial rotation of the clamping mechanism.

A versatile compound tool for forming wall board compounds comprises a handle assembly having a handle along a first end and an extension along the second end. The extension along the second end of the handle assembly further includes a connection feature for selectively securing a first implement thereto, the first implement configured for performing a first function of forming wall board compounds. The versatile compound tool further comprises one or more subsequent implements selectively securable to the second end of the handle assembly for performing second and additional functions of forming wall board compounds.

A knife that includes a blade, a handle affixed to an end of the blade and a screwdriver bit fixed to the handle and moveable between an extended position beyond the base of the handle and a retracted position in which the screwdriver bit is arranged completely within the opening of the handle.

A paint container that includes a bracket that is rotatably fixed to the container and is configured to allow an object (e.g., paint brush) to be releasably fixed thereto. The bracket can include a first bracket member and a second bracket member that extends at an angle from the first bracket member. The bracket is fixed to the container such that the bracket is rotatable to at least partially extending within the interior of the container and to fully extend above the container. At least one magnet can fixed to the bracket to secure the object thereto.

A blade dispenser for housing a plurality of unshelled blades, dispensing the blades one at a time therefrom and receiving used blades and storing the used blades therein. The dispenser includes a housing that has ribs forming a track, a dispensing slot at a first end of the housing, a pusher and a spring that aid in dispensing blades through the slot art the first end of the housing and a closure element that includes a slot connected to a second end of the housing to receive used blades.

A blade dispenser for housing a plurality of unshelled blades and dispensing the blades one at a time therefrom. The dispenser includes a housing that has tracks forming a guide, a dispensing slot at one end of the housing and a filling end at the other end of the housing, a pusher that is mounted on the track within the housing, abuts the blades and is moveable from the filling end toward the dispensing slot to aid in dispensing the blades and a spring that is located within the housing and engages the pusher and the housing and biases the pusher and the blades toward the dispensing slot.
