A vehicle strut assembly includes at least a strut member, a bearing assembly, a mounting bracket and a noise isolating member. The bearing assembly encircles an upper end portion of the strut member. The mounting bracket is configured to receive the bearing assembly with mounting bracket encircling the upper end portion of the strut member and further configured to attach to a portion of a vehicle body assembly of a vehicle. The noise isolating member is installed below the mounting bracket and along a surface of the bearing assembly reducing noises transmitted from the vehicle strut assembly to the portion of the vehicle body assembly.

Vehicle strut assembly

A releasable alignment clip secures a primary leaf spring to one or more secondary leaf springs of a suspension of a vehicle. The releasable alignment clip prevents separation of the primary leaf spring from the secondary leaf spring during normal operation while permitting relative sliding. The releasable alignment clip has a minimum separation force such that in response to a collision forcing a wheel forwardly, the releasable alignment clip deforms and permits separation of the primary leaf spring from the secondary leaf spring to avoid the primary leaf spring from breaking between the alignment clip and a point of attachment to the vehicle. The releasable alignment clip may have a reduced thickness, notches, or one or more perforations to achieve the minimum separation force.

A vehicle system in a host vehicle, comprising a vehicle transceiver located in the host vehicle and configured to receive from a remote server a selectable maneuver in response to data indicative of a driving path of one or more remote vehicles identifying one or more hazards. The system may include a processor in communication the vehicle transceiver and programmed to output one or more selectable maneuvers responsive to the data indicative of the driving path of one or more remote vehicles in response to the data indicative of the driving path identifies one or more hazards in a vicinity of the host vehicle, and a display in communication with the processor and configured to display the one or more selectable maneuvers.

System and apparatus for a connected vehicle

A system and method are disclosed for a vehicle that comprises one or more sensors configured to obtain information indicating a physical state of a baby. A wireless transceiver may be included and in communication with a mobile device. The transceiver may be configured to connect mobile device with a camera configured to monitor the baby. A controller may also be in communication with the one or more sensors and the wireless transceiver. The controller may be configured to determine the physical state of the baby utilizing the information obtained from the one or more sensors. The controller may also be configured activate one or more vehicle systems in response to the physical state of the baby and to output on a vehicle display or the mobile device a notification to a user indicating the physical state of the baby.

A system in a vehicle, comprising one or more physiological sensors configured to obtain stress-load data indicating a stress load of an occupant of the vehicle, a controller in communication with the one or more physiological sensors, wherein the controller is configured to determine a stress load of the occupant utilizing at least the stress-load data and output an instruction to execute a vehicle driving-dynamics features when the stress load exceeds a threshold, wherein the vehicle driving-dynamics features includes adjusting an active suspension of the vehicle.

A system for monitoring vehicle drive states and transitioning between human drive control and autonomous drive control based on the vehicle drive states. The system includes a human/autonomous drive status and transition module. The module is configured to: receive data from an autonomous drive module and determine a drive state of the autonomous drive module based on the data received from the autonomous drive module; receive data from a driver status monitor (DSM) to determine a drive state of a human driver; and transition between human drive control and autonomous drive control by the autonomous drive module, and vice-versa, based on the determined drive states of the human driver and the autonomous drive module.

A term interpretation module attempts to accurately interpret each individual term of the spoken phrase not accurately interpreted by the phrase interpretation module, by using a spoken spelling of the term provided by a user. An interactive spelling module attempts to interactively spell at least a portion of an individual term of the spoken phrase not accurately interpreted by the term interpretation module, by enabling a user to interactively select at least one individual character of the term of the spoken phrase from a plurality of characters.

A collision avoidance system for a subject vehicle. The system includes a secondary vehicle detection module that, based on at least one of inputs from sensors of the subject vehicle or a message transmitted by a secondary vehicle, detects the following: location, speed, and heading of the secondary vehicle, and whether the secondary vehicle intends to turn or change lanes. A warning module warns an operator of the subject vehicle of the secondary vehicle and the identified intention of the secondary vehicle, and modifies warning intensity based on the detected intention of the secondary vehicle to turn or change lanes. An adaptive cruise control module modifies at least one of speed and heading of the subject vehicle based on the detected intention of the secondary vehicle to turn or change lanes.

A system in a vehicle including a primary caregiver vehicle device of a primary caregiver providing care to a companion. The primary caregiver vehicle device includes a wireless transceiver in communication with a secondary caregiver device of a secondary caregiver. The primary caregiver device includes a controller in communication with the wireless transceiver. The controller is configured to receive a request to transmit a companion profile of the companion to the secondary caregiver device. The companion profile includes data changing over time in response to data received from the primary caregiver vehicle device and the secondary caregiver device.
