Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to techniques for calculating and reporting channel state information (CSI) for time division multiplexed (TDM) based multiple transmission reception point (mTRP) transmissions.

CSI reference resource for TDM based multiple transmission reception transmissions

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for channel state information (CSI) report structure for dynamic antenna port adaptation. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) and a network entity may support a CSI report configuration according to which the UE may include a respective set of CSI parameters for each of multiple codebooks. For example, the UE may compute a respective set of CSI parameters for each of multiple codebooks in accordance with a CSI report configuration and may transmit a CSI report including the respective sets of CSI parameters for each of the multiple codebooks. The network entity may use the respective sets of CSI parameters for each of the multiple codebooks to inform a dynamic antenna panel configuration update at the network entity.

Methods and apparatuses for selecting a synchronization block

In some scenarios, SRS transmission over the full SRS bandwidth may be unnecessary and/or inefficient. Therefore, a need exists for approaches to SRS transmission over less than the full SRS bandwidth. Described herein are techniques and solutions of SRS transmission using only a portion of the full SRS bandwidth, or a partial SRS bandwidth. The present disclosure provides for SRS transmission using a partial SRS bandwidth through sounding patterns that use only the partial SRS bandwidth and/or using a partial SRS bandwidth through various SRS sequence generation configured for the partial SRS bandwidth. An apparatus receives an SRS configuration indicating a full SRS bandwidth; determines a frequency hopping pattern for SRS transmission based on the SRS configuration, and the frequency hopping pattern is limited to a partial SRS bandwidth less than the full SRS bandwidth; and transmits the SRS transmission to the base station based on the frequency hopping pattern.

Based on OAM related parameters or OAM related information included in the messages, the first device and the second device may achieve a successful directional alignment (co-axial alignment) between the first device and the second device. The first device and the second device may determine one or more orbital angular momentum modes for communication between the first device and the second device based on the establishing the directional alignment.

A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration for a transmission configuration state for receiving downlink channel transmissions from a base station via a configurable surface. The transmission configuration state may indicate a quasi-co-location source associated with transmission via the configurable surface. The UE may receive a downlink channel transmission via the configurable surface based on the transmission configuration state and the quasi-co-location source. The UE may be capable of determining whether the transmission configuration state conflicts with the quasi-co-location source indicated by the transmission configuration state. The UE may transmit an indication to the base station that the configuration for the transmission configuration state conflicts with the quasi-co-location source. The indication may include a beam failure indication or a measurement report. The UE may fall back to a transmission configuration state previously activated at the UE.

Downlink transmission configuration for reconfigurable intelligent surfaces

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive first control signaling indicating a first network operation sequence associated with a first component carrier, the first network operation sequence including a first set of time intervals corresponding to a first set of network operation modes for the first component carrier. The UE may additionally receive second control signaling indicating a second network operation sequence associated with a second component carrier, the second network operation sequence including a second set of time intervals corresponding to a second set of network operation modes for the second component carrier. The UE may then communicate via the first component carrier in accordance with the first network operation sequence, and communicate via the second component carrier in accordance with the second network operation sequence.

Techniques for network energy saving sequences and cell interaction

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for channel state information (CSI) for multiple transmission reception point (mTRP) scenarios. The techniques may provide for dynamic interference measurement for mTRP CSI. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a CSI reporting configuration configuring the UE with a plurality of CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) resources for channel measurement (CMRs) and a plurality of resources for interference measurement (IMRs). The method includes determining an indicator based on an association between one or more CMRs and one or more IMRs. A codepoint of the indicator is associated with an IMR or a set of IMRs by an order of the IMRs or the set of IMRs in the configuration, and is associated with a CMR, a CMR pair, or a part of the ports of a CMR. The method generally includes performing CSI measurement based on the association.

Dynamic interference measurement for multiple-TRP CSI

Channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) resources are disclosed with multiple transmission configuration indication (TCI) states. Example aspects of the present disclosure provide for indications that a given CSI-RS resource is associated with multiple TCI states within various configuration control signaling, depending on whether the CSI-RS is periodic, semi-persistent, or aperiodic. Additionally, where any trigger state corresponds to a CSI-RS resource set in which one or more CSI-RS resources are associated with multiple TCI states, one or more quasi-co-location (QCL) assumptions of the downlink transmission may also be applied by a user equipment (UE) to reception of the CSI-RS resources, where the scheduling offset is less than the threshold beam switch timing reported by the UE.

Channel state information-reference signal resources with multiple transmission configuration indication states

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, information that indicates a periodic sequence of network energy saving (NES) states that are each associated with an antenna configuration of the network node. The UE may receive, from the network node during a current time period, one or more downlink transmissions using a maximum quantity of multiple input multiple output (MIMO) layers associated with an active NES state that is identified for a current time period based at least in part on the periodic sequence of NES states. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may transmit, to the network node during the current time period, one or more sounding reference signal (SRS) transmissions using an SRS antenna sounding configuration associated with the active NES state for the current time period. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Joint antenna adaptation in energy saving networks

Certain aspects relate to techniques for estimating and compensating for antenna array rotation of a wireless node. For example, the antenna array of the wireless node may rotate about one or more of an x-axis, a y-axis, and a z-axis, which may misalign the antenna array relative to another antenna array of another wireless node, causing degradation of communications between the two nodes. In some examples, the wireless node may obtain, from a first antenna array of the other wireless node via a second antenna array of the first wireless node, a first pilot signal and a second pilot signal via a first beam. In some examples, the first wireless node may perform a first alignment compensation based on a phase difference between the first pilot signal and the second pilot signal.

Estimating and compensating antenna array misalignment

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a device may select antenna elements from a planar array to transmit or receive an orbital angular momentum (OAM) beam. The device may determine a first area (e.g., a first ring area) based on an angular direction over which the device can communicate an OAM beam with a second device and may determine a second area (e.g., a second ring area) on the planar array based on projecting the first area on the planar array. The device may select a set of antenna elements from the planar array that are located within the second area. The device may determine a complex-valued weight for each antenna element of the selected set of antenna elements and may transmit or receive an OAM beam to or from the second device via the set of antenna elements according to the angular direction.

Generating and steering orbital angular momentum beams

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may be configured to transmit data to a network device using an unencoded signal that includes parameters for updating a local data model. The UE may receive a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) to decode a resource allocation message that schedules uplink resources for the transmission of the parameters, where the RNTI may be a dedicated RNTI that is different from other RNTIs received by the UE. The UE may identify allocated resources as scheduled by the resource allocation message, and may apply analog modulation and pre-equalization parameters to a data block to form an unencoded uplink transmission that includes the model parameters. The UE may transmit the unencoded uplink message in accordance with an over-the-air computation procedure.
