The present disclosure describes aspects of cache management of logical-physical translation metadata. In some aspects, a cache () for logical-physical translation entries of a storage media system () is divided into a plurality of segments (). An indexer () is configured to efficiently balance a distribution of the logical-physical translation entries () between the segments (). A search engine () associated with the cache is configured to search respective cache segments () and a cache manager () may leverage masked search functionality of the search engine () to reduce the overhead of cache flush operations.

Embodiments of the present invention relate to the data storage field, and provide a metadata recovery method and apparatus that are applied to a storage array. The method includes: when first mapping data is intact and second mapping data is corrupted, reading each second logical block in a granularity of a size of a third logical block; obtaining logical address blocks LBA stored in granular data, to obtain an LBA range corresponding to each segment of granular data; determining, by using a correspondence between LBA ranges and identifiers of third logical blocks, an identifier of a third logical block corresponding to the LBA range of each segment of granular data; and generating, when metadata that includes the determined identifier of the third logical block does not exist in the second mapping data, metadata that includes the identifier of the third logical block.

Metadata recovery method and apparatus

Embodiments of the present invention disclose a service transmission processing method, a node device and a network system are provided. One method includes: receiving service data after relay processing by a 3R relay node, where the relay processing includes terminating and regenerating an Optical Channel (OCh) of the service data, and when the OCh is terminated, transparent transmission is performed on an Optical channel Transport Unit (OTU); and performing defect detection on a path of the OTU to obtain a detection result of the path of the OTU. Another method includes: obtaining an overhead in an Optical Transport Network (OTN) frame; and judging whether the overhead includes a Client Signal Fail (CSF) inserted after a signal fails, and if the overhead includes the CSF, determining a path where a defect occurs according to the CSF.

A method for realizing interaction of optical channel data unit (ODUk) protection tangent rings are provided. A node used for protection of the ODUk and a receiving unit, a sending unit, a protected receiving unit and a protected sending unit on the node are selected. A connection between a receiving service unit and the protected sending unit with the same transmission direction on the node is established, or a connection between a sending service unit and the protected receiving unit with the same transmission direction on the node is established. Two virtual nodes are established on the node if the node is an intersection node, and connections between the receiving service unit and the protected sending unit, and between the sending service unit and the protected receiving unit are established respectively in each direction of both directions through one of the virtual nodes.

A parallel device comprises a battery module, a plurality of switching units and a control module being couplable to the battery module. The battery module includes a plurality of battery groups. The plurality of switching units includes a plurality of first switches. Each of the switching units is couplable to a respective battery group in series. Each series combination of the switching unit and the respective battery group is coupled in parallel with another series combination, and each of the switching unit includes a respective first switch coupled with a load in series. The control module is configured to receive values of measured voltages across at least two battery groups, calculate a voltage difference between the two received voltage values, compare an absolute value of the voltage difference to a reference voltage to obtain a voltage comparison result, and turn ON or OFF at least one of the first switches in accordance with the comparison result.

The process of numbering working services includes: after detecting that the node has an added or dropped working service in the downstream segment in the specified direction, the node on the ring sends a notification message which includes the identifier corresponding to the node to the downstream node in the specified direction; after receiving the notification message and detecting that the node has an added or dropped working service in the downstream segment in the reverse direction of the specified direction, the node on the ring assigns a serial number to the working service according to the identifier in the notification message. The present invention enables automatic numbering of services and dynamic adjustment of the service numbers on the ODUk protection ring, and fulfills the requirements of ODUk protection switching.

Method for numbering working services on channel protection ring

A method and apparatus for realizing service protection are provided. The method includes the following steps: determining paths corresponding to automatic protection switching (APS)/protection communication channel (PCC) overhead bytes that are available to all nodes in a service protection trail; selecting a path for service protection from the determined paths corresponding to the APS/PCC; and using the selected path for implementing the service protection. Therefore, it is ensured that several service protections using APS/PCC may coexist in an optical transport network (OTN) and different kinds of service protection can be easily distinguished from one another.
