Disclosed herein are methods for treating type II diabetes mellitus. In particular, the present invention relates to methods of using an extract ofKoenig and a blood glucose reduction agent, to synergistically reduce the blood glucose level of the subject having type II diabetes mellitus.

A compound for controlling blood glucose level has a structure shown in Formula I: wherein R5-R8 are as defined herein. A method for controlling blood glucose level includes administering to a subject in need thereof a compound of Formula I. The method further includes administering to the subject a GLP-1 receptor ligand. The compound and the GLP-1 receptor ligand may be administered together. The compound may be Galanal A or Galanal B. The GLP-1 receptor ligand may be GLP-1 or exendin-4.

The present invention relates to a plant extract for treating diabetes and a process for making same. The plant extract of the invention is prepared from an overground part of, which has the efficacies of lowering blood glucose, increasing insulin levels, reducing insulin resistance and treating and/or preventing diabetes without overly reducing blood glucose in a subject, i.e., not reducing blood glucose in a fasting subject. A multi-band has as an elongated grounding plate disposed vertically with a top edge defined thereon. A simulation induction portion includes a first conduction strip extended obliquely from a substantial middle of the top edge and a second conduction strip extended along the top edge from a free end of the first conduction strip to form an obtuse angle between the first and second conduction strips. A connecting portion extends perpendicularly and opposite to the grounding plate from a free end of the second conduction strip. A feeding point disposes on the connecting portion, adjacent to the second conduction strip. A high frequency radiator and a low frequency radiator are extended opposite to each other from a free end of the connecting portion.

Multi-band antenna

An ultra-wideband has an elongated grounding plate disposed horizontally with a long front edge defined thereon. A connecting portion extends upwards from an end of the front edge. A first antenna radiator includes a first radiating strip extended from a side of the connecting portion and a second radiating strip connecting with a free end of the first radiating strip. A third antenna radiator includes a third radiating strip suspended over the grounding plate, a fourth radiating strip connecting with an end of a long front edge of the third radiating strip and an upper side of the second radiating strip, a fifth radiating strip extended downwards from the long front edge of the third radiating strip connecting with the connecting portion. A third antenna radiator extends downwards from a middle of the long front edge of the third radiating strip. A feeding point disposes on the second radiating strip.

Ultra-wideband antenna

A multi-band antenna has a grounding plate with a first end and a second end defined at a longer side thereof. The longer side has an upward first connecting portion adjacent to the first end and a vertical second connecting portion. A feeding portion extends downwards from a lower edge of the second connecting portion. A first antenna radiator extends towards a same direction with respect to the second connecting portion along the grounding plate from an upper side of the second connecting portion. A second antenna radiator includes a first radiating portion, a second radiating portion and a third radiating portion. A third antenna radiator extends parallel to the first radiating portion from a side of the feeding portion. A coupling component includes a first section, a second section and a third section extending opposite to the first section from an end of the second section.

A dual-band antenna adapted for an Ultra-mobile Personal Computer has a grounding element including a first grounding portion of elongated plate shape and a second grounding portion extending substantially perpendicular to the first grounding portion from a long edge of the first grounding portion. A connecting element is connected with the second grounding portion. An installing element is connected with the second grounding portion and spaced away from the connecting portion. A multi-band antenna includes a first radiating portion, a second radiating portion extending perpendicularly from the first radiating portion, a third radiating portion extending perpendicularly from the second radiating portion and located at a same side with respect to the second radiating portion as the first radiating portion, a fourth radiating portion extending perpendicularly from the third radiating portion towards the first radiating portion, a fifth radiating portion in alignment with the first radiating portion, with a feeding portion connecting with the first radiating portion and the fifth radiating portion, a sixth radiating portion extending perpendicularly towards the fourth radiating portion from the fifth radiating portion and spaced away from the fourth radiating portion, and a grounding portion spaced from the first radiating portion, the feeding portion and the fifth radiating portion with a grounding area disposed thereon, and connected with the first radiating portion by a connecting portion.

A multi-band antenna includes a ground portion, a radiating element spaced from the ground portion, a tuning conductor extending from the radiating element and parallel to the ground portion to form a gap therebetween, a short-circuit conductor interconnecting the ground portion and the radiating element, and a feed point disposed at the radiating element and adjacent to the short-circuit conductor. The radiating element, the short-circuit conductor and the feed point function as a first inverted-F antenna obtaining a first high frequency band, and a second inverted-F antenna obtaining a low frequency band and a second high frequency band higher than the first high frequency band. The ground portion and the tuning conductor cause a capacitance effect to shift the second high frequency band to be close to the first high frequency band. It can cover various wireless communication frequency bands.
