The present invention discloses a method and system for configuring an electronic device through a management device. When the management device is coupled to the electronic device and the electronic device is not able to communicate with a server, the method and system detect an identity of the electronic device and configure the electronic device according to the identity with a configuration. The configuration may further comprise authentication information, routing policy, energy policy and any information to configure the electronic device or to configure the management device for electronic device. The method and system also allow the electronic device to send data to and to receive data from the server through the management device. The method and system may also diagnose the electronic device before configuring the electronic device.

Methods and systems for allowing device to send and receive data

The present invention discloses methods and systems for data communication at a primary wireless communication apparatus (WCA) in conjunction with an auxiliary WCA. The primary and the auxiliary WCAs may be connected and each houses at least one subscriber identification module (SIM). When a data packet is to be sent using the primary WCA, a wireless communication module (WCM) of the primary WCA is used. When a data packet is to be sent using the auxiliary WCA, a WCM of the auxiliary WCA is used. When receiving a data packet, the data packet is processed based on the receiving WCA. When a data packet is received through the WCM of the primary WCA, the data packet is processed at the primary WCA. When a data packet is received through the WCM of the auxiliary WCA, the data packet is first sent to the primary WCA and then processed.

Methods and systems for data communication at a primary wireless communication apparatus in conjunction with an auxiliary wireless communication apparatus

This present invention discloses methods and systems for transmitting data packets over a wide area network (WAN) through secondary network devices connected to a primary network device. The primary network device first takes control of the secondary network devices' network settings. Then, it creates two separate connections: one for managing the secondary network devices (using management interfaces) and another for transmitting data (using transmission interfaces). The data packets transmit through the WAN connection on the secondary network devices using a special tunnel created within the data connection, following rules set by a policy.

System and method for controlling network device(s) at a primary network device

Methods and systems for improving connectivity between a network node and a base station during data communication over a cellular network are described. The network node comprises a first plurality of WCMs. The method includes identifying, by the network node, a first base station connected to a second plurality of WCMs. The second plurality of WCMs include all or part of the first plurality of WCMs. After that, a WCM is selected from the second plurality of WCMs to maintain a connection with the first base station. The rest of the second plurality WCMs are disconnected from the first base station. The disconnected WCMs are reconnected in a manner so that each of the second plurality of WCMs becomes connected to a different base station or to the same base station over different frequency bands.

A response based on the MSA's response will then be sent to the wireless communication module for the information request. When the response information is cached, retrieve the response information and send it to the wireless communication module.

The present invention discloses methods and systems for communicating at a cellular router between a first wireless communication module and a first subscriber identity module (SIM). The cellular router receives a first request from a first wireless communication module and encapsulates the first request in a first modified request. The cellular router then sends the first modified request to a first SIM card in a first communication apparatus and waits for a first modified reply. While waiting for the first modified reply the cellular router sends at least one halt message to the first wireless communication module after a first time threshold. After receiving the first modified reply, the cellular router decapsulates the first modified reply to retrieve a first reply and sends the first reply to the first wireless communication module where the first modified reply is a reply to the first modified request.

The present invention discloses methods and systems of connecting a wide area network (WAN) to a portable gateway through at least one gateway. The portable gateway generates a web page where the web page comprises input fields that allow configuration of one or more WAN interfaces. The portable gateway stores the web page. The portable gateway receives one or more Internet Protocol (IP) data packets from at least one device. The IP data packets are not capable of being forwarded. The portable gateway sends the web page to the at least one device. The portable gateway receives information through the web page from the at least one device. The information is to configure at least one WAN interface and to connect to at least one gateway.
