A computer-implemented method for generating a 3D geological model of a subsurface volume of a geographic site. The method includes processing, based on a machine-learning-based model, borehole data of a plurality of boreholes at the geographic site and trusted geological data associated with the geographic site, so as to generate a plurality of geological cross-sections of the subsurface volume of the geographic site. The borehole data includes data related to subsurface soil and/or rock information along at least part of each of the plurality of boreholes. The trusted geological data includes data related to prior stratigraphic information associated with the geographic site. Each of the geological cross-sections contains respective stratigraphic information. The method also includes forming the 3D geological model based on the generated geological cross-sections for display.

Generation of three dimensional geological model of geographic site

A computer-implemented method and a related system for determining seismic hazard related data. The method includes processing geological/seismological data associated with an area of unknown hazard using a simulation model, and determining simulated ground motion intensity data associated with the area of unknown hazard. The simulation model is determined based on geological/seismological data associated with an area of known hazard and ground motion intensity data associated with the area of known hazard. Alternatively, or additionally, the method includes processing simulated ground motion intensity data associated with the area of unknown hazard with another simulation model. Such simulation model is determined at least partly based on: geological/seismological data associated with an area of unknown hazard, geological/seismological data associated with an area of known hazard, ground motion intensity data associated with the area of known hazard, and simulated ground motion intensity data associated with the area of known hazard.

Seismic hazard determination method and system

A method for determining an optimal laying arrangement of a new infrastructure link for connection from a new site to an existing infrastructure network includes modeling a terrain of a region around and at the new site and the existing infrastructure network near the new site; modeling each factor affecting the laying arrangement as a respective cost function; applying a respective weighting to each of the cost function to determine a life-cycle cost function; and determining, based on the determined life-cycle cost function, an optimized laying arrangement with minimal life-cycle cost from the new site to a connection point in the existing infrastructure network.
