The present invention provides a display device including: a backlight module, including a back bezel having a bottom surface, and a frame having a side wall portion, where the side wall portion has an inner side surface and an outer side surface, and the back bezel faces the inner side surface of the side wall portion; a display module, disposed on the backlight module and supported by the frame; a tape, attached to the outer side surface of the side wall portion of the frame and extending to the bottom surface of the back bezel; and a sealant, disposed and extending from an end edge of the display module to the bottom surface of the back bezel through an outer side of the outer side surface of the side wall portion of the frame, and at least partially covering the tape.

Display device

A backlight module includes an LGP and a linear light source. The LGP includes a light-incident side surface and a top light-emitting surface that has a peripheral region and an effective illumination region. The linear light source includes a circuit board, solid-state light-emitting devices configured on and electrically connected to the circuit board, and a reflector covering a portion of the peripheral region. Light emitted from each solid-state light-emitting device enters the LGP from the light-incident side surface. The reflector includes first reflection parts that correspond to the solid-state light-emitting devices and second reflection parts. Each second reflection part is connected to two adjacent first reflection parts. Each first reflection part and each second reflection part extend towards the effective illumination region from an edge of the top light-emitting surface. An extension length of each first reflection part is shorter than that of each second reflection part.

Liquid crystal display and backlight module thereof

A light guiding structure of a light guide plate is provided. The light guiding structure comprises a plurality of protrusion ridge portions extending along a longitudinal direction. The height or the vertex angle of each protrusion ridge portion periodically or randomly varies along the longitudinal direction.

Light guiding structure of a light guide plate

A light guide plate including a body and a plurality of prism microstructures is provided. The body has a bottom surface, a light emitting surface opposite to the bottom surface, and a plurality of side surfaces. The light emitting surface has a central area and at least one peripheral area outside the central area. The prism microstructures are disposed on the light emitting surface and the bottom surface. The prism microstructure disposed on the light emitting surface includes a plurality of first prism microstructures in the central area and a plurality of second prism microstructures in the peripheral area. A top angle &#x3b8;of the second prism microstructure is greater than a top angle &#x3b8;of the first prism microstructure. A backlight module including the above-mentioned light guide plate is also provided.
