A protector for preventing motor damage is revealed. The protector includes a link member linked to a driving part of a motor and having a mounting groove and a first insertion hole, an elastic damping member that is placed in the mounting groove and disposed with a second insertion hole, and a driver member arranged with a projecting block and used for driving a passive member. One surface of the driver member is covered on the mounting groove to form a receiving space. The projecting block is mounted in the second insertion hole whose inner edge is closely attached to an outer edge of the projecting block. The damping member is compressed in the receiving space so that an outer edge thereof is tightly attached to an inner edge of the mounting groove and the driver member. Thereby the motor operates normally no matter the passive member is locked.

The present invention discloses a paper roll device including a casing, a cover connected to the casing, a moving component, a first resilient component connected to the moving component, a lever pivoted to the moving component, a second resilient component, a detecting module and a control module. The first resilient component is for driving the moving component to move in a first direction. The lever pivots relative to the moving component as the moving component moves. The second resilient component is connected to a sensing portion of the lever and for supporting the lever in the first direction. The detecting module is for detecting a position state of the sensing portion of the lever, so as to generate a corresponding detecting signal. The control module is for determining an open/closed state of the cover relative to the casing according to the detecting signal.

A thermal printer includes a casing, a thermal head module and a guiding component. The thermal head module is detachably installed inside the casing, and the thermal head module includes a bracket, a thermal head and a pivoting component. The thermal head is installed on the bracket, and the pivoting component is disposed on an end of the bracket. The pivoting component is pivotally engaged with the casing. The guiding component is rotatably installed inside the casing and for guiding a printing medium. The guiding component includes a holding portion for holding the pivoting component of the thermal head module as the guiding component rotates in a first rotating direction relative to the casing, so as to drive the pivoting component to separate from the casing, so that the thermal head module is detached from the casing.
