A non-aqueous electrolyte battery of the present invention includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, and a non-aqueous electrolyte, and the separator contains polyphenylenesulfide fibers, aramid fibers, and cellulose fibers at ratios of 50 to 85 mass %, 10 to 30 mass %, and 5 to 35 mass %, respectively. This makes it possible to provide a non-aqueous electrolyte battery with characteristics that are less likely to deteriorate under a high-temperature environment and in which few defects occur during assembly.

The secondary batteryis a lithium secondary battery that includes a negative electrode containing a lithium alloy as an active material and a positive electrode.

A nonaqueous electrolyte primary battery with improved storage properties at high temperatures and excellent reliability, and a method for producing the battery are provided. The nonaqueous electrolyte primary battery includes a negative electrode containing metallic lithium or a lithium alloy, a positive electrode, a separator, and a nonaqueous electrolyte solution. The nonaqueous electrolyte solution contains at least LiClOas an electrolyte and 0.1 to 5% by mass of LiB(CO).
