A front light module configured to be disposed on a display panel to illuminate the display panel is provided. The front light module includes a light source and a light guide plate. The light guide plate has a first surface facing away from the display panel, a second surface facing the display panel, and a light incident surface facing the light source. The light incident surface connects the first surface and the second surface. The first surface has multiple sets of optical micro-structures. Each of the sets of the optical micro-structures includes multiple optical micro-structures disposed or distributed asymmetrically.

Front light module including plurality of sets of microstructures

A light source module and a display device are provided. The light source module includes a light-emitting element, a light-guiding plate, and a filter. The light-emitting element includes a light-emitting surface. The light-guiding plate includes a light-incident surface, and the light guide plate is disposed such that the light-incident surface faces the light-emitting surface. The filter is disposed between the light-emitting surface and the light-incident surface, and a center wavelength of a reflection band of the filter falls in a range of 570 nm to 590 nm. The light-emitting element emits a first light having a first color temperature from the light-emitting surface. The first light is filtered into the second light having a second color temperature after it passes through the filter. The light-incident surface of the light-guiding plate receives the second light. The first color temperature is lower than the second color temperature.

Light source module and display device

A display apparatus includes a display module, a protective layer and at least one discontinuous printed pattern. The display module has a display area. The protective layer covers the display module. The discontinuous printed pattern is on the protective layer. The display area is partially covered by the discontinuous printed pattern.

Display apparatus

A display device includes a display panel, a light source module and a control unit. The display panel includes plural display areas. The light source module includes plural light source units. The light source units are configured to output plural light beams to illuminate the display areas of the display panel. The control unit is coupled to the light source module and configured to receive a frame data. The frame data includes plural subframe data, and the subframe data are displayed on the display areas. The control unit is further configured to control a first light source unit of the light source units to adjust a brightness corresponding to a first color of a first light beam of the light beams according to a ratio of the first color. The ratio of the first color is related to a first subframe data of the subframe data.

Display device

The present disclosure provides a light-emitting module. The light-emitting module includes a light guide plate, a light source, and a brightness adjustment element. The light guide plate has a light incident surface, a front surface, and a back surface opposite the front surface. The light incident surface is located between the front surface and the back surface and is adjacent to the front surface and the back surface. The brightness adjustment element has a strip portion and at least one protruding portion. The strip portion has a first edge proximal to the light incident surface. The protruding portion is located on the first edge of the strip portion, and the protruding portion is aligned with the light source and extends away from the first edge.

Light-emitting module

A waterproof light emitting module is provided. The waterproof light emitting module comprises a circuit board, a light emitting diode, a light guide plate, and a waterproof layer. The light emitting diode is over the circuit board, and having a light emitting surface, a first non-light emitting surface and a second non-light emitting surface. The light guide plate is adjacent to the light emitting surface of the light emitting diode. The waterproof layer covers the first non-light emitting surface and the second non-light emitting surface of the light emitting diode. The waterproof layer includes an adhesive, a substrate, a recessed portion of the light guide plate, a portion of the circuit board or a combination thereof. A display device including the waterproof light emitting module is also provided herein.

Waterproof light emitting module and display device

A front light module including a light guide plate and a light source is provided. The light guide plate includes a first surface, a second surface and a light entering surface. The second surface is opposite the first surface. The light entering surface has at least one area that is adjacent to the first surface and the second surface. The light source is disposed beside the light entering surface and is configured to illuminate the light guide plate. The at least one area and an optical axis of the light source form a first angle. The first angle is less than 90 degrees. A display module is also provided.

Front light module and display module

A light guide assembly includes a light guide plate, at least one first light source, and at least one second light source. The light guide plate has a main body, at least one first light incident structure, and at least one second light incident structure. A center of the main body has a through hole, and a straight line passing through the through hole defines a first half part and a second half part of the main body. The first light incident structure protrudes from the first half part and extends away from the main body, and the second light incident structure protrudes from the second half part and extends away from the main body. The first light source is located on an edge of the first light incident structure. The second light source is located on an edge of the second light incident structure.

Light guide assembly and display device

A front light module including a light guide plate, a light source, a transparent cover lens and an annular connecting unit is provided. The light guide plate includes a first surface, a plurality of micro-structure groups, a second surface and a light entering surface. The first surface includes a first area and a second area surrounding the first area. The micro-structure groups are disposed on the first surface and within the first area. The micro-structure groups have a plurality of adjacent micro-structures, and the micro-structures groups are separate from each other. The light entering surface connects the first surface and the second surface. The light source is disposed beside the light entering surface. The annular connecting unit connects the second area of the first surface and the transparent cover lens, and keeps a gap between the micro-structure groups and the transparent cover lens. A display device is also provided.

Front light module and display device

A front light module includes a light guide plate, a light source and a light redirection film. The light guide plate includes a light incident surface, an inner light outgoing surface and an outer light outgoing surface. The light incident surface is adjoined between the inner light outgoing surface and the outer light outgoing surface. The light source is configured to emit light into the light incident surface of the light guide plate. The light redirection film is located beside the inner light outgoing surface, and is configured to redirect a traveling direction of the light from the light guide plate. An acute included angle between the light after redirected and a normal line of the inner light outgoing surface is less than an acute included angle between the light before redirected and the normal line of the inner light outgoing surface.

Reflective display apparatus and front light module thereof

A solar energy collecting system includes a substrate and at least one solar chip. The substrate includes a first surface, a second surface and a plurality of lateral surfaces, wherein the first surface faces the second surface, the lateral surfaces are adjacent to the first and second surfaces, and a first micro structure is formed on the first or the second surface. The solar chip is near one of the lateral surfaces. Solar light penetrates the first and the second surface and is refracted or reflected by the first micro structure to leave the substrate via the lateral surface and be absorbed by the solar chip.

Solar energy collecting module

A reflective display apparatus includes a reflective display panel, a light guide plate, an elastic ring, a light permeable liquid and a holding device. The elastic ring is sandwiched between the reflective display panel and the light guide plate, and it spaces the reflective display panel and the light guide plate apart defines a space between the reflective display panel and the light guide plate. The light permeable liquid is located in the space. The holding device holds the reflective display panel and the light guide plate, thereby pressing against the elastic ring and making the elastic ring deform.

Reflective display apparatus

A front light guide includes a light guide plate, a light source, a functional material layer and a first adhesive layer. The light guide plate has a side surface, a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The light guide plate has a first refractive index. The light source faces the side surface and configured to emit light into the light guide plate. The functional material layer is disposed at a side adjacent to the first surface, and has a third refractive index. The first adhesive layer is interposed between the light guide plate and the functional material layer so as to adhere the light guide plate with the functional material layer. The first adhesive layer has a second refractive index. The first refractive index is greater than the second refractive index, and the second refractive index is greater than the third refractive index.

Front light guide module and electrophoresis display having the same

A display device including a reflective display panel, a plurality of electrical or optical element layers, and at least one light-emitting element is provided. The electrical or optical element layers are stacked above the reflective display panel. One of the electrical or optical element layers is a light guide plate. The light-emitting element is disposed beside the light guide plate. A plurality of transparent medium layers are respectively located between every two adjacent ones of the reflective display panel and the electrical or optical element layers and above the electrical or optical element layer most away from the reflective display panel among the electrical or optical element layers. At least one of the transparent medium layers above the light guide plate is a gas layer.

A display apparatus is provided. A display unit has a display region. A protecting cover has a patterned region, wherein the patterned region does not overlap the display region. A light guide plate is disposed between the display unit and the protecting cover and has a first light scattering region and a second light scattering region. The first light scattering region at least partially overlaps the display region, and the second light scattering region at least partially overlaps the patterned region. A light emitting unit emits a light beam to the light guide plate. After the light beam enters the light guide plate, a part of the light beam is scattered to the display region by the first light scattering region and another part of the light beam is scattered to the patterned region by the second light scattering region.
