A ship vicinity information display device is provided, which is capable of displaying a position etc. of a destination of another ship based on information of the destination obtained from the other ship, in a mode which is intuitively easy to understand. A radar indicator may include a display unit, an AIS interface, and processing circuitry. The display unit may be capable of displaying an image of a situation in the vicinity of one ship. The AIS interface may receive the information of the destination of the other ship. The processing circuitry may acquire a longitude and latitude of the destination based on the destination information of the other ship and graphically display at least one of the position of the destination of the other ship and a direction of the destination from the other ship (other-ship destination symbol), on the display unit.

There is provided an echo display device that is easy to manipulate and allows echoes that appear on an echo screen to be designated easily, quickly, and reliably with a cursor. An information display device includes a display componenta track ball, and a controller. The display componentdisplays a radar image in real time based on echo information inputted from a radar antenna. The track ball is manipulated to move a cursordisplayed in the radar image. The controller includes a cursor display position determination component, and this cursor display position determination component determines the display position of the cursorin the radar image based on manipulation of the track ball. Also, when the display position of an echo E1 is within a specific range from a cursor display position (position P2) after the cursorhas moved by manipulation of the track ball, the cursor display position determination component moves the display position of the cursorto a position P3 that coincides with this echo E1.

Echo display device and cursor movement control method

A radar device includes an antenna, from which a detection signal is transmitted while the antenna being rotated and by which a reflective wave of the transmitted detection signal is received to detect echo data, wherein image data is generated based on the detected echo data, a continuity detecting module for detecting a planar continuity of the currently detected echo data with respect to a pixel concerned in the image data, a behavior data generating module for generating behavior data indicative of a behavior of the echo data for a predetermined number of scans of the past in the pixel concerned based on behavior determination data, and an echo kind determining module for determining a kind of the echo data of the pixel concerned based on the planar continuity and the behavior data.
