The present disclosure provides an electrolyte liquid of a lithium sulfur battery comprising a carbonate ester organic solvent, a lithium salt, and a flame-retardant cosolvent, the flame-retardant cosolvent being a phosphazene compound, wherein a mass percentage of the flame-retardant cosolvent is 20% to 50%, a concentration of the lithium salt is 0.8 mol/L to 1.2 mol/L. The present disclosure also provides a lithium sulfur battery and a method for preparing the electrolyte liquid.

A method for making a cathode active material of a lithium ion battery is disclosed. In the method, LiMPOparticles and LiNPOparticles are provided. The LiMPOparticles and LiNPOparticles both are olivine type crystals belonged to a pnma space group of an orthorhombic crystal system, wherein M represents Fe, Mn, Co, or Ni, N represents a metal element having a +2 valence, and N is different from M. The LiMPOparticles and the LiNPOparticles are mixed together to form a precursor. The precursor is calcined to form LiMNPOparticles, wherein 0&#x3c;x&#x3c;1.

Method for making cathode active material of lithium ion battery

A method for making a cathode active material of a lithium ion battery, the cathode active material being represented by a chemical formula of Li[(NiCoMn)Mo]O, wherein 0&#x3c;x&#x2266;0.05. Source liquid solutions of Li, Ni, Co, Mn, and Moare mixed in stoichiometric ratio in a multi-carboxylic acid solution to form a solution. The solution is heated at 50&#xb0; C. to 80&#xb0; C. to form a wet gel. The wet gel is spray dried to form a dry gel. The dry gel is heated at a first temperature and then at a second temperature, the first temperature is in a range of 400&#xb0; C. to 500&#xb0; C., the second temperature is in a range of 750&#xb0; C. to 850&#xb0; C.

Cathode active material and method for making the same

In a method for making an anion electrolyte membrane, an inorganic nano-powder is uniformly dispersed in an organic solvent to form a mixture. A fluorinated poly(aryl ether) ionomer is dissolved in the mixture to form a first solution. An active component is further dissolved in the first solution to form a second solution. A crosslinking catalyst is added to the second solution to form a membrane casting solution. The membrane casting solution is coated on a substrate to form a membrane, and the coated substrate is heated. Then, the membrane is peeled from the substrate.

Method for making anion electrolyte membrane

In a method for making anion electrolyte membrane a fluorinated poly(aryl ether) ionomer is dissolved in a solvent to form a ionomer solution. A crosslink component is added to the ionomer solution, to achieve a transparent solution. An inorganic component precursor and water are introduced to the transparent solution, to form a sol-gel mixture. A crosslink catalyst is mixed with the sol-gel mixture to form a membrane casting solution. The membrane casting solution is coated on a substrate to form a membrane, and heated. The membrane is removed from the substrate.

A method for making lithium iron phosphate is provided. In the method, an alkali is reacted with a ferric salt in water to form a red colored ferric hydroxide precipitate in the water. The red colored ferric hydroxide precipitate is mixed with deionized water, organic solvent, and emulsifier to form an water-in-oil emulsion. The phosphoric acid solution and iron metal powder are added to the water-in-oil emulsion to form ferrous hydrogen phosphate. A lithium source is introduced to the water-in-oil emulsion and reacted with the ferrous hydrogen phosphate to form a precursor in the water-in-oil emulsion. The precursor is heated in a protective gas at a heating temperature in a range from about 600&#xb0; C. to about 800&#xb0; C. to form lithium iron phosphate.
