A server includes a chassis, a transfer board, a hard disk drive cage, two hard disk drive trays, two mother board trays, two mother boards, first hard disk drives and second hard disk drives. The chassis has an accommodation space. The transfer board is disposed on the first side plate and the second side plate to divide the accommodation space into a first accommodation region and a second accommodation region. The hard disk drive cage is located in the first accommodation region. The hard disk drive cage includes storage sections for disposing the first hard disk drives. The two hard disk drive trays for disposing the second hard disk drives are located in the second accommodation region and insert into the transfer board. All the two hard disk drive trays and the two mother board trays are randomly arranged in rows and columns and insert into the transfer board.

Server

A server includes a case, a storage module, a connection module, a first expander board, a second expander board, a first mother board and a second mother board. The case includes a bottom case. The storage module is disposed on the bottom case and includes multiple storage units. The connection module is disposed on the bottom case and connected to the storage module. At least one first expander chip is disposed on the first expander board. At least one second expander chip is disposed on the second expander board. At least one first central processing unit is disposed on the first mother board. At least one second central processing unit is disposed on the second mother board. The first expander board, the second expander board, the first mother board and the second mother board are pluggably connected to the connection module, respectively.

A server comprises two mainboards, disposed on a base plate. The mainboards comprise a plurality of expander cards and an electrical module. The electrical module is provided with at least one first storage device. Each mainboard further comprises a daughter card disposed between the base plate and the electrical module. The expander card or the daughter card is served as a system-tray of the electrical module by the at least one first storage device of the electrical module, so as to manage a disk array for a plurality of second storage devices of the server. This ensures that when the storage device of the mainboard is malfunctioned, it doesn't need to turn off the server for repairing. Under a condition of not affect normal function of the server, more electrical elements are provided to a limited space so as to increase or upgrade the function of the server.

A tool-less mounting device for hard disk drive (HDD) is provided. The mounting device has a tray, at least one flexible member, a backplane, and at least one HDD. The tray has a base and two sidewalls. The flexible member has a fixed portion and an arm. The backplane is disposed on the base between the sidewalls, and has a first connector and a second connector. The HDD is coupled to the first connector of the backplane.

Tool-less mounting device for hard disk drive

An electronic device includes an electronic module, a tray, and a carrier. The tray includes a bottom plate and two elastic members located at two opposite sides of the accommodation space. The electronic module is located between the two elastic members. Each elastic arm of each elastic member has a pushed portion and a blocking portion extending to the accommodation space. The tray moves together with the electronic module, between a first position and a second position. When the tray is located at the first position together with the electronic module, each blocking portion is at least partially located in each corresponding first positioning hole of the electronic module. With the tray moves, together with the electronic module, from the first position to the second position, each stopper presses against each corresponding pushed portion, thereby enabling the corresponding blocking portion to detach from the corresponding first positioning hole.
