A flexible orientation rack cabinet includes a top panel, a bottom panel, first and second edge panels, a first and second flexible mounting flanges. The top panel includes a first U-space adjustment portion. The bottom panel includes a second U-space adjustment portion. The first flexible mounting flange is in physical communication with the first edge panel and includes a third U-space adjustment portion. The second flexible mounting flange is in physical communication with the second edge panel and includes a fourth U-space adjustment portion. The flexible orientation rack cabinet is in a first orientation when multiple first server rails are attached to the first and second U-space adjustment portions.

A power supply unit includes a main portion and a dual direction cooling fan. The main portion includes a cooling fan slot. The dual direction cooling fan inserted within cooling fan slot of the main portion. The dual direction cooling fan includes first, second, third, and fourth panels. The first panel is positioned toward a middle line of the main portion and the second positioned toward an outside edge of the main portion when the dual direction cooling fan is inserted within the cooling fan slot. The third panel is positioned toward a top panel of the main portion when the dual direction cooling fan is in a reverse airflow orientation. The fourth panel is positioned toward the top panel of the main portion when the dual direction cooling fan is in a normal airflow orientation.

A carrier assembly for mounting equipment into a carrier slot includes an electro-magnetic interference (EMI) shield and an EMI finger. The EMI shield protects the mounted equipment from EMI. The EMI shield is formed in a first plane of the carrier assembly. The EMI finger protrudes from the EMI shield and is coupled to the EMI shield. The EMI finger is formed in a second plane perpendicular to the first plane. The EMI finger operates, when the carrier assembly is installed into the carrier slot, to couple the EMI shield to the carrier slot. The EMI finger, when viewed from a first direction that is perpendicular to both the first plane and the second plane, is formed in a tear-drop shape.

An information handling system includes a bracket in physical contact with a server compute module. The bracket includes an adjustable guide that can rotate between a first position and a second position within the bracket. The adjustable guide is in the first position in response to a first peripheral card being inserted within the bracket, and is in the second position in response to a second peripheral card being inserted within the bracket.

An information handling includes a plunger that secures a server planar board within the information handling system. The plunger includes a nut, a body, a rod, and a cap. The nut tightens toward the body and holds the server planar board between the nut and the body. The rod securely holds the server planar board within the information handling system in response to the plunger being in a locked position, and enables the server planar board to be removed from within the information handling system in response to the plunger being in an unlocked position. The cap includes a handle to provide a surface for a force to be exerted to cause the plunger to move from the locked position to the unlocked position.

Apparatus and methods for retention of computer expansion cards and/or card bay covers inside a card bay of an information handling system chassis, and that may include an expansion card retaining apparatus that includes a pivotable first end configured to attachably rotate relative to a securing surface of the information handling system chassis, a latching second end configured to releasably lock the expansion card retaining apparatus in a locking position that prevents rotation of the expansion card retaining apparatus about the pivotable first end, at least one resiliently deformable coupling section extending between the pivotable first end and the latching second end to maintain the latching second end in the locking position, and a retention section extending between the at least one coupling section and the pivotable first end.

A fixing device is described. The device fixes a fan and a protocol-control-information long card having a tailpiece without using screws or tools. The fan is for radiating heat from a hard disk and the protocol-control-information long card. The device comprises a plastic fan guard and a plastic fixture. The plastic fan guard is for fixing the fan in place, while the plastic fixture clamps the tailpiece of the protocol-control-information long card.

A fixing device is described. The fixing device is for fixing a power supply unit in a computer cover having a first side plate and a second side plate. The first side plate has a square orifice and a guide slot connecting to the square orifice. The fixing device comprises a rotary-tightening-up device. The rotary-tightening-up device, made of plastic, has a first side member and a second side member. The fixing device further comprises plastic hook connected to the rotary-tightening-up device. The plastic hook is guided by the guide slot, thereby rotating the rotary-tightening-up device to mount the power supply unit upon the second side plate of the computer cover.

A hot swap fan module for a server is described. The server has a fixed frame for installing the hot swap fan module. The module has at least one fan electrically connected with a power plug and having two sides. Each side of the fan has four holes. Each of two identical plastic moldings has four protuberances through the four holes for imbedding each of the plastic moldings on each side of the fan.

A large size clamping device for detaching a bearing having three cambered base blocks is disclosed. An inner edge of each base block is formed with a thinner top cambered surface. Each side of the base block has a penetrating connecting hole. Three connecting rods are used to connect the three base blocks by each connecting rod passing through the connecting holes of two respective base blocks. Thereby, an area confined by the base blocks is adjusted by adjusting the connections of the base blocks and the connecting rods. Thus the clamping device is suitable for bearings of different sizes. Moreover, the forces between the bearing to be pulled out and the clamping devices are more uniform so that the bearing will not be harmed.
