There are provided a video editing system, a video editing server and a communication terminal which enable simultaneous editing operations for editing a video content to be performed by plural persons, without generating a file in which a content of the editing has been reflected in the video content. One of a plurality of editing terminals in a synchronized state generates an edit command for editing a video content with an edit command generating section, based on an editing operation by a user from a terminal operating section, and transmits the generated edit command to a video editing server via an information transmitting/receiving section. If the edit command is received via an information transmitting/receiving section, the video editing server transmits the received edit command to another editing terminal in the synchronized state, via an edit command synchronizing section. There is provided a group communication system allowing group communication to be performed by a simple operation as well as a group ID number issuing apparatus and a call control apparatus to be applied to such a group communication system. When a user takes a group organization procedure to the group communication system, a group representative telephone number representing the group is issued. After the group representative telephone number is issued, the group representative telephone number can be used in the same manner as for calling a subscriber to call a group member to perform group communication. The group communication can be performed by limiting to a lower level subgroup, a pair of the group representative telephone number and an identifier can be used instead of the subscriber's telephone number to determine the calling partner to make a call.

A communication control apparatus includes a registration request signal receiver, a registration section, a transmitter, a group communication control signal receiver, and a group communication controller. The request signal receiver receives, from at least one terminal differing from a plurality of group communication terminals that is performing or is to perform group communication through a communication network, a control terminal registration request signal requesting the registration of the terminal as a control terminal for controlling the group communication. The registration section registers the terminal which sent the control terminal registration request signal as a control terminal. The transmitter sends, to that terminal, information indicating that the terminal has been registered as a control terminal. The control signal receiver receives from the terminal a group communication control signal for controlling the group communication. The group communication controller starts or changes the group communication in accordance with the group communication control signal.
