A very small piezoelectric sensor capable of being mass produced includes a core, a piezoelectric layer on a surface of the core; and a conductive layer on a surface of the piezoelectric layer away from the core. The core is flexible and threadlike, the core is a first electrode of the piezoelectric sensor, and the conductive layer is a second electrode of the piezoelectric sensor. An array of such sensors allows the 'skin' of a robot for example to simulate the sensitivity of hair-covered human skin. A method for making the piezoelectric sensor and an electronic device using the piezoelectric sensor are also disclosed.

Piezoelectric hair-like sensor, method for making same, and electronic device using same

A sensing film includes a base layer, a piezoelectric layer formed on the base layer, and a first electrode and a second electrode formed on the piezoelectric layer. The first and second electrodes are spaced apart and electrically insulated from each other. The first electrode includes a first connecting portion and a number of first extending portions coupled to the first connecting portion. The second electrode includes a second connecting portion and a number of second extending portions coupled to the second connecting portion. The first connecting portion and the second connecting portion are spaced apart and face each other. The first extending portions extend from a side of the first connecting portion toward the second connecting portion. The second extending portions extend from a side of the second connecting portion toward the first connecting portion. The first extending portions and the second extending portions are alternately arranged.

Sensing film and method of making same and electronic device using sensing film

A touch feedback and sensing device includes a circuit board, a piezoelectric ceramic actuator on the circuit board; and at least one strain sensor on the circuit board. The piezoelectric ceramic actuator includes a piezoelectric ceramic block, a cathode and an anode on the piezoelectric ceramic block. Different voltages are applied to the cathode and the anode to vibrate the piezoelectric ceramic block. The circuit board vibrates with vibration of the piezoelectric ceramic block. The at least one strain sensor is configured to detect and monitor vibration of the circuit board.

Touch feedback and sensing device

A touch display device includes a substrate, a light shielding array, a plurality of light emitting elements, a color filter, and a touch control module. The light shielding array is disposed on the substrate, and the light shielding array has a plurality of openings. Each of the light emitting elements is placed in one of the openings. The color filter is disposed over the light shielding array. The touch control module includes a bottom electrode layer disposed between the light shielding array and the color filter and a top electrode layer disposed on the color filter.

Touch display having a color filter between touch electrodes and manufacturing method thereof

A device for sensing suspension operations or biometrics includes a light emitting module and a sensing layer. The light emitting module and the sensing layer are sequentially stacked. The light emitting module includes a plurality of light emitting elements emitting light near the infrared and the sensing layer includes a plurality of quantum dot thin film transistors. The quantum dot thin film transistor includes an active layer and quantum dots covering the active layer. The near-infrared light emitted by the plurality of light emitting elements is reflected by an animate object and received by the quantum dot thin film transistors. The sensing device can better sense suspension operations or biometrics. A method for the procedure is also disclosed.

Sensing device and sensing method

A touch sensor with enhanced and small-scale sensitivity includes a substrate, a piezoelectric layer on the substrate, a first electrode layer between the substrate and the piezoelectric layer, a second electrode layer on the piezoelectric layer, and an outer touch layer. The touch layer is made of flexible and deformable material. The touch layer includes a base layer covering the second electrode layer and finely-shaped protrusions protruding from a surface of the base layer away from the piezoelectric layer. The base layer and the protrusions are integrally formed. The disclosure also provides a method for making such touch sensor.
