Methods and systems for managing the operation of data processing systems are disclosed. A data processing system may include a computing device that may provide computer implemented services. To provide the computer implemented services, hardware components of the data processing system may need to operate in predetermined manners. To manage the operation of the hardware components, the data processing system may heat them when their temperatures fall outside of thermal operating ranges. To mitigate some risk associated with heating, the data processing system may proactively calibrate temperature sensors used to guide the heating process.

System and method for temperature measurement in data processing systems

An air mover assembly may include an air mover comprising a body and a cable extending from the body and one or more air mover holders mechanically coupled to the body. The one or more air mover holders may comprise a plurality of cable maintenance features and a keying feature. The plurality of cable maintenance features may include a first cable maintenance feature configured to maintain the cable in a first configuration of the air mover in a first airflow direction and a second cable maintenance feature configured to maintain the cable in a second configuration of the air mover in a second airflow direction. An information handling system includes a hard disk drive, a handle in physical communication with the hard disk drive, and a first flexible heat sink component. The first flexible heat sink component includes a first surface contact portion, a first main portion, and a first plurality of fins. The first surface contact portion is in physical communication with the hard disk drive. The first main portion is in physical communication with the handle. The first fins extend away from the first main portion. The first fins flex downward toward the hard disk drive when the first fins are placed in physical communication with a cover of a storage sled, and the first fins fit within a space between the cover and the hard disk.
