Systems, methods, and machine-readable media are disclosed for automating setup of configuration data for an application program. In one embodiment, a method of automating setup of configuration data for an application program can comprise identifying a set of configuration data used by a first instance of the application program. The set of configuration data can contain data for substantially replicating a configuration for the first instance of the application program. The method can further include extracting the set of configuration data from the first instance of the application program. A manifest can be created identifying data in the set of configuration data. The set of configuration data can be saved in a portable format that includes the set of configuration data and the manifest.

Tool for automated extraction and loading of configuration settings

A dashboard application can enable a user to quickly view data (and, in a particular aspect, data from one or more business applications) in an efficient manner. The dashboard application can be used to view data about one or more metrics that reflect the performance of a business, as derived from data maintained (perhaps in an associated data store) by the business application(s). In an aspect, a user can select two or more metrics to be displayed on a summary page and/or can invoke a detail page to view detailed information about one of the two or more metrics.

In one embodiment, a method for delivering configuration information for an application, can comprise saving a set of configuration information related to the application. A set of one or more questions related to configuration of the application can be defined and saved. In some cases, at least one of the set of one or more questions related to configuration of the application can relate to at least a subset of the set of configuration information. The set of configuration information and the set of one or more questions can be delivered for use in configuring an installation of the application.
