A display device, including a circuit substrate, a light-emitting layer, a quarter-wave plate, and a band-pass polarizing layer, is provided. The light-emitting layer is disposed on the circuit substrate and has light-emitting structures, which are electrically connected to the circuit substrate and include first light-emitting structures, which have a first main light-emitting wavelength. The quarter-wave plate is disposed in overlap with the light-emitting structures and is located between the band-pass polarizing layer and the light-emitting layer. The band-pass polarizing layer includes at least one first band-pass polarizing pattern, which have a first absorption axis. The first wavelength range is the first main light-emitting wavelength±10 nm. An average transmittance of the first band-pass polarizing patterns to light with a wavelength outside the first wavelength range and a polarization direction parallel to the first absorption axis is less than 20%.

Display device

An electronically-controlled viewing angle switching device, including a liquid crystal layer, a first electrode, a second electrode, a plurality of first insulation patterns, and a plurality of second insulation patterns is provided. The first electrode and the second electrode are respectively located at a first side and a second side of the liquid crystal layer. The first insulation patterns are located at the first side of the liquid crystal layer. The second insulation patterns are located at the second side of the liquid crystal layer. Each of the first insulation patterns is at least partially overlapped with the corresponding second insulation pattern. A display device adopting the electronically-controlled viewing angle switching device is also provided. The electronically-controlled viewing angle switching device and the display device provide a good anti-peed effect from a side viewing angle.

Electronically-controlled viewing angle switching device and display device

A light source module includes a light guide plate, a light source, a first color conversion film, at least one optical film and an ink coating. The light guide plate has a first light-emitting surface, a second light-emitting surface opposite to the first light-emitting surface, and a light-incident surface connected between the first light-emitting surface and the second light-emitting surface. The light source is disposed beside the light-incident surface. The first color conversion film is disposed beside the first light-emitting surface. The at least one optical film is disposed beside the light guide plate. The ink coating is disposed on a surface edge or an end surface of at least one of the light guide plate, the first color conversion film, and the at least one optical film, and is configured to allow light to pass therethrough. A display device of the invention is further provided.

Light source module and display device

A backlight module including a light guide plate, a light source, an optical film, a diffusion sheet, a first prism sheet and a second prism sheet is provided. The light guide plate has a light incident surface and a light emitting surface connected to each other. The light source is disposed on a side of the light incident surface. The optical film is overlapped with the light emitting surface and has a plurality of optical microstructures facing the light emitting surface. The diffusion sheet is disposed between the light guide plate and the optical film. The first prism sheet and the second prism sheet are overlapped with the optical film and are positioned on a side of the optical film being far away from the light guide plate. A display apparatus adopting the backlight module is also provided.

A viewing angle switch module includes a viewing angle limiter, a first electronically controlled viewing angle switch, a second electronically controlled viewing angle switch, a first polarizer, and a second polarizer. The viewing angle limiter has an absorption axis, and an axial direction of the absorption axis is parallel to a thickness direction of the viewing angle limiter. The viewing angle limiter, the first electronically controlled viewing angle switch, the first polarizer, the second electronically controlled viewing angle switch, and the second polarizer are overlapped. An axial direction of a first absorption axis of the first polarizer is parallel to an axial direction of a second absorption axis of the second polarizer. A display apparatus adopting the viewing angle switch module is also provided. The viewing angle switch module and the display apparatus provided by the invention have better light energy utilization rate.

Viewing angle switch module and display apparatus

A backlight module including a light guide plate, a light source, a prism sheet and a light absorbing sheet is provided. The light guide plate has a light incident surface, a light emitting surface connected to the light incident surface and a bottom surface opposite to the light emitting surface. At least one of the light emitting surface and the bottom surface of the light guide plate is disposed with a plurality of micro lens structures. The light source is disposed on a side of the light incident surface of the light guide plate. The prism sheet is overlapped with the light emitting surface of the light guide plate and has a plurality of prism structures facing the light emitting surface with an extending direction parallel to the light incident surface. The light absorbing sheet is disposed on a side of the bottom surface of the light guide plate.

Backlight module and display apparatus

A display device includes an electrically controlled viewing angle switching device including two polarizers and a liquid crystal cell disposed between the two polarizers. The liquid crystal cell includes two alignment layers and a liquid crystal material layer disposed between the two alignment layers and including a plurality of liquid crystal molecules. A direction of an optical axis of the liquid crystal molecules and a viewing angle control direction of the display device have an included angle &#x3b8;of 70-110 degrees. Two alignment directions of the two alignment layers and the viewing angle control direction have an included angle of 90&#xb1;20 degrees and an included angle of 270&#xb1;20 degrees, respectively. Included angles between directions of transmission axis of the two polarizers and alignment directions of the two alignment layers are selected from one of 0&#xb1;5 degrees and 90&#xb1;5 degrees.

A viewing angle switch module including a viewing angle limiting device and a first electrically controlled viewing angle switch device is provided. A plurality of first block walls of the viewing angle limiting device are arranged along a first direction and extended in a second direction. The first electrically controlled viewing angle switch device has a first liquid crystal layer, a first polarizer and a second polarizer. An angle of 90&#xb1;20 degrees is included between an optical axis of the first liquid crystal layer and the first direction. The first polarizer and the second polarizer are respectively located at two opposite sides of the first liquid crystal layer. An absorption axis of the first polarizer and a, absorption axis of the second polarizer are parallel to or perpendicular to the first direction. A display apparatus adopting the viewing angle switch module is also provided.

A dual display device includes a light source module, a first display panel and a second display panel. The light source module includes a light guide plate, a first prism sheet, a second prism sheet, a color conversion film, and a light source. The light guide plate has a first light exit surface, a second light exit surface and a light incident surface. The first light exit surface has a plurality of first microstructures. The first prism sheet is disposed beside the first light exit surface. The second prism sheet is disposed beside the second light exit surface. The color conversion film is disposed at least one of between the first prism sheet and the first light exit surface and between the second prism sheet and the second light exit surface. The dual display device of the invention has the advantages of thinner thickness and lighter weight.

Dual display device

The disclosure provides a display device and an optical compensation module. The display device includes a light emitting display module and the optical compensation module. The optical compensation module is disposed on the light emitting display module along the transmission direction of an image beam emitted by the light emitting display module, and includes: a first polarizing layer and an optical compensation layer. The optical compensation layer is disposed between the light emitting display module and the first polarizing layer along the transmission direction of the image beam and has a first compensation area and a second compensation area which forms a pattern, wherein the phase compensation value of the first compensation area and the phase compensation value of the second compensation area are different. The display device and the optical compensation module have the effect of displaying the pattern on the display panel at a specific angle.

A backlight module including a light guide plate, a light source, an optical film, a first prism sheet and a second prism sheet is provided. The light guide plate has a light incident surface and a light emitting surface connected to each other. The light source is disposed on a side of the light incident surface. The optical film is overlapped with the light emitting surface and has a plurality of optical microstructures facing the light emitting surface. An angle between the extending direction of the optical microstructures and the light incident surface is 90 degrees or between 45 degrees and 90 degrees. The first prism sheet and the second prism sheet are overlapped with the optical film and are positioned on a side of the optical film being far away from the light guide plate. A display apparatus adopting the backlight module is also provided.

A light source module includes a light guide plate, a light source and a light regulating element. The light guide plate has a first light emitting surface and a second light emitting surface, and a light incident surface connected between the first light emitting surface and the second light emitting surface. The second light emitting surface has a plurality of microstructures. The light source is disposed adjacent to the light incident surface. The light regulating element is disposed adjacent to the second light emitting surface. A dual display device including the light source module, a first display panel and a second display panel is also provided. The first display panel is disposed on a side of the light guide plate facing the first light emitting surface. The second display panel is disposed on a side of the light regulating element that is away from the light guide plate.

Light source module and dual display device

An anti-peeping control device includes two polarizers and a liquid crystal box disposed between the two polarizers. An included angle of 5 to 15 degrees is formed between the axial directions of the transmission axes of the two polarizers, or the axial directions of the transmission axes of the two polarizers are parallel to each other but not parallel and not perpendicular to any side edge of the polarizer. The axial directions of the transmission axes of the two polarizers are perpendicular or parallel to the alignment direction of the alignment layer of the liquid crystal box. The anti-peeping control device can use an electronic control method to switch the anti-peeping effect. A backlight module and display using the anti-peeping control device are also proposed.

Anti-peeping control device and backlight module and display using same

A display device comprises a backlight module, a display panel disposed on the backlight module, and an electrically controlled viewing angle switching device disposed on the backlight module and disposed in a stacking manner with the display panel. The display panel comprises a panel module and a first polarizer. There is an air layer or a bonding layer between the electrically controlled viewing angle switching device and the display panel. The panel module is disposed between the first polarizer and the electrically controlled viewing angle switching device. The electrically controlled viewing angle switching device comprises a liquid crystal cell, at least one phase compensation film and two second polarizers. The liquid crystal cell is disposed between the two second polarizers. The display device can switch between an anti-peeping mode and a sharing mode in an electrically controlled manner.
